in honor of world space week(!!) i thought id share a little about what i do for a job and what it’s like presenting scientific research at a conference! 🚀

i realised most people probably associate me with the music industry and what i do over at @musicistoblame, but my “day job” is as a planetary physicist. ☄️🔭🪐

i’m in the final few months of my PhD (Dr Marshall coming soon), and for the last three years I’ve been researching Mars’ plasma environment - specifically the relationship between eruptive solar events (like solar flares) and the impact they have on Mars’ lower atmosphere! I’m the first scientist to look into this, and my findings have made the news internationally! I’ve been incredibly lucky the past year to have presented my research at so many conferences (EGU in Vienna, NAM in Birmingham, and EPSC in The Hague).

Huge thank you to my husband, @lucas.j.marshall for always being so supportive and following me around the world 🌍
