Thank you PDC2024!
Thank you co-design academy summer school! And thank you Sibu!

It’s been a week of discoveries around the city, attending amazing discussions, enjoying delicious food, learning from inspiring indigenous communities and top scholars, getting great feedback and, especially, feeling part of such a special, friendly, and lovely network.

(And a big shoutout to the super-talented karaoke performers 😉❤️)

Back from an intense week at #drs2024boston where I was humbled and super lucky to
- spend time with these two incredibly inspiring, and funny, and brilliant and beautiful humans: @bibiserpa and @carme_s
- present a paper about anarchafeminism (at Harvard!) in the track about empowerment and design, put together with lots of work and love by the amazing @lauralezanosantamaria and @ksiuxak
- Meet my design idols!! @lesleyannnoel @renataml @designeopressao @usabilidoido
- Get moved by the care, warmth and great work of buenvivircentric
- chat and laugh and encounter the inspirational perspectives of @david.perez.o and antostarnino
And I’m surely forgetting someone, but in the meantime, que viva America Latina! by @_laval_

Super exciting track co-chaired by @ksiuxak and @lauralezanosantamaria at the next DRS2024 Boston, alongside a distinguished international committee: Theodore Zamenopoulos, @francescomazzarella, Renata M. Leitão, PhD, and @_laval_

If you are interested in critically exploring how theories of power and empowerment inform design or develop and apply methodologies to facilitate empowerment in design projects with individuals and communities, this track may be for you!

We welcome submissions from early career researchers, academics, and practitioners from within and outside of design disciplines.
