Hi Everyone!!!

Thank you so much for trusting us with your Ramadan donations. In 2022, you all gave $7280 and since then we’ve been actively working to get the water well up and running.

Last year, before Ramadan, we drilled our first water well in Tabasad, Mamou. We went down to 120 meters and weren’t successful with any water. Usually the contracts are for 80 meters but we decided to keep drilling down to see if water would come out to support that community. We spent over $3,500 on the effort.

This year, we tried again in Kelama. It is an up and coming village just outside of Conakry. In the area, there isn’t a water well so most people go to the local river to get their water for the day which is such a hassle.

With success, water was able to come out once we hit 56 meters down so they continued to drill down to the full 80 meters. We spent over $3,000 on the second well which is a bit over the initial amount raised but due to a few others we were able to install a successful well. The community has given so many duas and will continue to do so everytime they use the well. May Allah (SWT) continue to bless all those who have donated and for all those who have assisted in the effort by simply posting the flyer or telling a friend. taken in Quelque Part À Conakry by @_le.standard

I hope that you all are blessed during this month of Ramadan. ☪️✨ As we go through this month, we will be collecting new/gently used Eid attires for men, women, and children who are less fortunate in 4 villages in Africa.

It is our goal to receive all clothes by May 1st to ensure we have enough time to package the boxes, and have them sent over in time for Eid al-Adha. Your support/donations will be greatly appreciated.

Please share with friends and family so we can help those in need. Thank you! by @_le.standard

Meet the Founders of The Standard, Aye Diallo, Aissata Diallo, and Dieynabou Diallo! All young West African women, that saw a need in their community and wanted to help be that driving force of change for generations to come.

The Standard was founded in 2020, during the height of COVID! This Ramadan, we decided to focus on the number one resource needed for survival … WATER. Water is an essential resource that not many people have access to. Please help us in raising money towards building our first water well in Guinea.

Please visit the link in our bio to make your donations. We are also accepting donations through Cash App, Zelle, and Apple Pay!

A simple repost also goes a long way.

As-Salam Alaikum,

Welcome to The Standard's 3rd Annual Ramadan Fundraiser. This year our fundraiser will focus on raising money to build a clean water well with the hopes of surpassing our goal in order to also donate to local mosques. Did you know that 4 million people in the rural areas of Guinea do not have access to safe, clean water? Not having access to clean water can lead to malnutrition and the spread of malaria and ebola.

Please help us provide access to clean water as it is a human right! The link is in our bio!!!

Donations will also be accepted through Zelle, PayPal, cash app, and Apple Pay!

"Those who spend of their goods (in charity) by night and by day in secret and in public shall have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve."

We are truly blessed to have such supportive people to help us set The Standard.

Please be on the lookout in the next month for pictures and videos of the disbursement of items throughout Guinea. If you would also like to be part of our next clothing drive, feel free to reach out. We are always looking for partners. by @_le.standard
