It has been an amazing experience to be able to be apart of “The Gods Are Not To Blame” through @africantheatrela and @uscsda!! This was my first MainStage show at USC and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. To be able to be apart of an all Black cast and put on and African production like this has been my dream!! Being able to act in the only USC show that was tied with professional performers has me feeling so blessed! Theater should be a welcoming space for all and cause for laughter, joy, and community . ✨✨✨Going to rehearsals everyday and seeing people who look like me as we celebrate the beauty of Nigerian culture has been so beautiful. Through this, I’ve been able to connect to my own Nigerian roots through means of celebration and make a bunch of new friends!! The cast, crew, and director were all wonderful and I couldn’t imagine a better end to my Sophmore year!! by @_leilani_olivia
