The Austin running community is perhaps the best thing that’s happened to me since I started living here !! love these sexy people sm and I want to show them awfff.

On a more serious note, (trigger warning re mental health) - I’m extremely grateful, as of late, to be surrounded by so many beautiful, kind people. We do what we do because we love it, and not out of any forced effort or contribution. Running and the passionate folks behind these communities led to my mind and body becoming mentally + physically healthy, and probably saved my life after going through an incredibly dark time. I made a wonderful friend in @parkersewell - who introduced me to the most amazing community, a community that continues to push each other forward. I am all the better myself because of this little village of runners <3.

September is suicide prevention month. Talk to your friends, siblings, parents, family. Take them, or yourself, on a walk, or invite someone to run with you. Go get that coffee, bring the dog over, make ice cream, have the wine night, find a concert, or sit in silence with someone if that’s all you need. There is no definitive answer on how to immediately help someone who is going through personal grief or distress - but it is important to show up when they can’t. It makes a world’s difference. The conversations may not be easy, but the intent and care matters. Everyone matters, you matter. And you’re doing amazing, sweetie ;) by @_leoangulo_

fin de agosto ~ that’s a wrap on a VERY Jada Shada Hudson Summer (my diva on slide 5)🌞

Posting some goofy pics bc these people are all so very beautiful and some I miss a bunch already. Remember that life is fleeting, short, but still all the more beautiful because we are here and present. Despite tragedy or change, the present is a gift, so take what you have and live as best you can. I learned to walk side by side with my younger self, hold his hand, and lead him through the past and into some necessary personal growth this summer; to let little Leo shine in ways I haven’t in years, to be free of any burdens on his shoulders.
