Mommy, even having to speak about you in the past tense is tearing me apart. Selfishly, I would have given you my brain and switched places with you in a heartbeat if it meant I didn’t have to feel the pain that I do now. You are still the best mommy I could have ever asked for. Knowing that you aren’t physically on this earth anymore and that I can’t randomly call you throughout the day, or feel one of your loving hugs like I’m used to breaks my heart. The only thing I find solace in is that you are finally resting and at peace in Heaven just like you deserve. Everyone always said I was your mini me; we had so many similarities including our love for travel which I know now will bring me even closer to you. I’m not sure what I did to deserve such an extraordinary mother for these past 23 years, but know that either way I’m so grateful. Living in a world that you no longer physically exist in doesn’t feel right, but I can still feel your spirit in myself, Brittni, and everyone else that had the chance to experience you. You always prepared me and Brittni for the day you wouldn’t be here, just another way you wanted to stay in control and make sure your daughters would be taken care of without you. I know it’s only the strength that you had that is now flowing through us and guiding us along the way.

Mommy my beautiful angel, I’m so sorry and wish we had more time together, but thank you for making your time here so special and loving me and supporting me unconditionally. I can’t wait to see you again when my time comes, but until then I’ll just see you in my dreams. by @_lexnotalexis_
