This is a memorial post for Bentley G.

Bentley was more than a pet, he was family!

I had Bentley since he was 8 weeks old, he was like my first son.

Everyone who met Bentley loved him. He was the best dog,

In the 11 years I had Bentley, he was well taken care of. He was a house dog. He was my security, my companion, and my personal garbage disposal. 😂 (he loved to eat our food). Bentley had 3 sisters, my daughter Meliyah, and in 2022 he welcomed my twins Skylar and Jordyn to the family.

Bentley was my comfort. (when I had bad days I could tell him)
Bentley was my security. (He didn’t let me go anywhere alone)
Bentley was my best friend (he was excited everytime I came home)
Bentley was my peace (when I was sad or emotional he would come close me so I could hug him)
Bentley was my first son (I have 3 daughters, and Bentley)

Losing Bentley was like losing a part of myself. Anybody who truly raised a dog and spent every day with them knows how I feel. This is as bad as losing a human. I still cry from time to time when I don’t see him. It’s the silence of not hearing him behind me that is the hardest. I can’t hear his nails tap on the hardwood floor or hear him bark when the doorbell rings. Putting him to sleep was literally the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make. But it was for his good, he was very sick and it would’ve been selfish of me to let him suffer. 😢

I love you Bentley more than words can express. God blessed me the day you came into my life and every day I was able to spend with you. I’ll never forget you.

This post is a dedication to Bentley. My mushkis. I hope all dogs go to heaven. I will see you there! 😉😘😢

With love,
Dad.
