Stoked to share my entry into #visslaaddcolor 🏄‍♂️
A 5’10 mini simmons with an elevated rail channel off the back of the tail. Drawing inspiration from my glassblowing days, I created a vibrant fire and ice/water theme, symbolizing my love for glass and passion for the ocean all wrapped into one. The 16-point mandala on the bottom which was a common design i created often out of glass, features 128 individually tinted, cut and inlayed pieces. Echoing my glasswork patterns of years past. I set out with a goal on this project to use multiple processes i have developed over the years to do all of the color work including the black pin lines while laminating and not on the sanded hot coat which is a more traditional method. Therefore all color work was meticulously done during various steps of the fiberglass laminating process, creating a digital aesthetic with handmade precision. This board is a fusion of my glassblowing and surfboard building careers. Huge thanks to the guys at @formula_one_surf_international especially @troy_hirst for letting me have free reign over their factory and providing all that i needed to create this board while in Bali. 🤙 Hope you enjoy the ride!

A #surfinglife comes with a predetermined check list of mystical locations that we, as surfers, all aspire to visit.

These magical waves are “Out There.”

This collaboration between @_longtoe and @timkmcmanus is a celebration of surfing and a life-long pursuit of chasing waves.

The boards we ride are a reflection of how we navigate through the world. The places we visit remind us that travel is the death of prejudice.
The combination of the two is the formula for time perfectly wasted.

Immense thanks to everyone who made this show special. First a huge thanks to our collectors whose support is invaluable to this grand art experiment.
