A funny thing happened on the way to my wedding weekend! I stopped an off at Edelweiss Restaurant in Staunton, VA and stumbled upon my new home away from home! This Wisconsin girl’s German roots run deep and my love for German restaurants even runs deeper! The food was so authentically perfect! The atmosphere was Full on Germany! The music was so familiar and fun! I love traveling doing hair and make-up for weddings! Some places hold a special place in your heart, and for me, The Greenbrier is one of them.
For 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of returning to this iconic resort to create beautiful bridal hair and makeup for weddings, including some truly extraordinary clients, Celebrities, and
distinguished families. One of my greatest honors was being entrusted with the hair and makeup for the Greenbrier owner’s daughter Jill Justice on her wedding day.
After three decades, the excitement of returning never fades. There’s simply something magical about The Greenbrier, and it remains one of my absolute favorite places to be part of a bride’s most cherished day.

Fun with vintage cams... Julia & Rodrigo | The Omni Homestead Resort Wedding 🎞️

Julia and Rodrigo began as friends in dental school. Through stressful days, financial pressure, and some very challenging years, they became each other’s greatest supporters. They grew together, found their way back to a healthier life together, and never stopped choosing one another.

Then came a proposal on the beach in Cancun. 💍

Surrounded by family and friends who had traveled from far and wide, they finally became husband and wife at the breathtaking The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia.

Their wedding was everything they imagined: intimate, romantic, elegant, and full of personality. From the historic beauty of The Omni Homestead Resort and locally sourced DIY details, to Julia’s grandmother’s wedding china, a stunning Justin Alexander gown, and a celebration led by Rodrigo and his DJ friends—the day moved from timeless romance into an unforgettable party.

And then there was the dance. ❤️

A choreographed first dance, a private dance after the guests had gone, and finally a grand celebration that brought everyone together.

For us, the best wedding films aren't simply about beautiful images. They're about finding the story underneath the day—the people, the history, the little details, the laughter, and the reason these two people chose each other.

Julia & Rodrigo’s story was a beautiful one to tell.

God is so faithful! My bestie @heathermariespeaks is my “S-hero!” Her faith inspires me to let go and trust God at an even deeper level than I did before walking along side of her on her cancer journey. “I cancervive” was the theme this year and Heather and all of the incredible adults and children who modeled, spoke, sang, hosted, participated and attended in last nights @ourlaughterintherain event touched my heart so deeply.
