“It is your reaction to adversity, not adversity itself that determines how your story develops” ❤️‍🩹

Join me as I celebrate graduating from THEE Savannah State University. A bittersweet ending to a long liberating journey. I have learned so much about myself over the years. SSU was definitely another home away from home, as soon as I step foot on the grounds here I thought “oh yeah, this is it”. Thank you Jesus, my family, my mentors, my professors, & my friends, without you guys none of this would be possible. The amount of love & support I have received surpasses being invaluable, I’m eternally grateful to God for placing you all in my life. A former foster youth and a FIRST generation high school and college graduate who changed her narrative and took control of the reigns. What you go through does not define who you are it’s who you choose to be. From surviving to thriving, I close this chapter knowing I became the woman I once prayed I’d have the strength to be. May this moment be a reminder that with God, resilience, and purpose, even the hardest battles can bloom into beautiful victories. With just six days to go, I’m standing in the fullness of everything I’ve fought for, ready to claim what God has prepared for me. Here’s to new beginnings and bigger blessings. 🐅🎓 by @_lov3ly.nae_
