September is Suicide Prevention Month. 🤍

As a teacher, I’m reminded that our classrooms are more than places where students learn lessons from a book. They are places where students are seen, heard, encouraged, and sometimes given a safe space to simply be.

We may not always know what someone is carrying, but we can choose to check in. We can listen. We can be kind. We can remind someone that their life has value and that they do not have to carry everything alone.

I’m excited to share a new chapter in my professional journey.

After more than 10 years of experience in property management, communications, and resident services, I’ve decided to take my career in a new direction education and student support. Im currently pursuing my education with the goal of becoming a certified teacher, with a long-term goal of earning my master’s degree in school counseling and becoming a school counselor.

This decision is intentional. I want to use the experience I’ve gained in communication, leadership, problem-solving, advocacy, and working with people to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and families.

Starting over can be uncomfortable, especially when you have already built a career. But sometimes growth requires you to be willing to take what you’ve learned and use it somewhere new.

I’m proud of the experience behind me, grateful for the lessons along the way, and excited about where this next chapter will take me.

Here’s to growth, purpose, education, and becoming the person I’m called to be. 🎓📚

Sometimes I just have to stop and say: if it wasn’t for God constantly reminding me of who I am, whose I am, and where I need to be, I’m not sure how I would have made it through some of these seasons.

I’m not perfect. Far from it. 😂 My friends can tell you I have family issues, business is always up and down, I don’t always have the answers, co parenting can be a juggling act, and some days I’m literally running around with my head cut off trying to figure everything out as a mom- single one at that , daughter, friend, sister.

And if I’m being completely honest, sometimes I even fall short in my walk with God. Of course with him I get better with time and as we become more obedient.

But that’s the beautiful part.

He keeps showing up.
He keeps reminding me.
He keeps correcting me.
He keeps aligning me.
He keeps filling my cup when I feel empty.
And somehow, He always seems to show up at exactly the right moment.

Life isn’t about being perfect. Especially not on social media.

Everything you see isn’t the whole story. We all go through seasons where we’re up, down, sideways, right, left, confused, confident, tired, hopeful, and everything in between.

And maybe that’s part of what makes us who we are.

To enjoy every season not because every season is easy, but because knowing God is still there in every single one.

Knowing that God will come through means so much more than trying to figure everything out on our own.

When God is at the center, the circumstances may not change immediately, but the way you navigate them does. I’m not striving to look like I have it all together.

The imperfect seasons.
The unanswered questions.
The unexpected turns.
The highs and the lows.

Because at the end of the day, we may not always know where we are going…

but know Who is leading. 🤍
