Can’t sleep because I have a 5th grader, and my heart is so happy. Where has the time gone? So many moments have passed so quickly, but I’m grateful for every memory we’ve made.

As she steps into this new chapter, I keep thinking about the life I’ve worked hard to build for her. A life filled with unconditional love that no one can discount, peace, and people who genuinely choose her. I pray she never feels like she has to force anything or question her value. The people who are meant to be in her life will choose her freely.

She’ll always know she’s deeply loved, she’ll always have what she needs, and will
always have me in her corner.

My prayer as she enters 5th grade is that God protects her, guides her, and blesses her with a great and successful year. I pray she continues to grow into exactly who HE created her to be, always knows her worth, protects her peace, and never forgets that she is enough.

Kenzie, my first baby, today is the day you walk across that stage and receive your BSN!

I am so incredibly proud of you. Obstacles? What are those? You have faced every challenge with grace, poise, strength, and determination. Since you were younger, the way you have carried yourself with respect and humility, along with how openly you show your love for God, has always made you so special. You have truly been one of the most humble and graceful of the bunch.

Today is your day, and you can pop it because you deserve everything that is coming your way and so much more! Love, life, success, and all things great are waiting for you. Continue to be unapologetically you, baby girl.

I may not tell you often enough, but I admire you, and you make me so proud. I cannot wait to celebrate you today!

To MY niece, the one who gave me the name “Auntie Shaunda.” 💕

Kimora, I am sooo proud of you. You have always been one of the smartest, brightest, and most headstrong of the bunch. You were born to lead, and despite every obstacle that has ever been placed in your path, you have always found a way to overcome it.

Continue to stay true to who you are. There is no battle too tough for you to fight and no mountain too high for you to climb. Your journey is just beginning, and as long as you keep God first, believe in yourself, and remember that you can and you will, there is nothing you can’t accomplish.

Today is your day. Live in the moment, soak it all in, and celebrate everything you’ve worked so hard for. I love you more than you’ll ever know, and I couldn’t be prouder of the young woman you’ve become. Near or far I’m always in your corner !

Life update: London wants to play volleyball! 🏐

Today she attended her first volleyball camp by herself, and I couldn’t be more excited to spend the summer getting her in the gym.

Side note: When I picked her up, she couldn’t wait to show me what she learned. Then she said, “Mom, I was trying to hit the ball like Addy.” (Addy is one of the athletes on my club team)

London has been around volleyball her entire life and hasn’t had any interest until recently when she turned 10. Hearing her say that made me realize she’s not just tagging along anymore ,she’s actually watching, learning from, and looking up to the older girls.
