Spray Paint and Acrylic on MDF panel

This is my most complex painting I’ve made, the details go crazy. Really wanted to push myself with stencils on this painting, especially after the blackout series, stenciling has become my new favorite way to work.

Couldn’t be happier with the final product and hope you enjoy.

My First Mural

13’ x 4’ Acrylic on Plywood Panel

This piece was commissioned by @studiobyg.k.la and I am extremely proud of what we were able to put together for their salon. Pulled a lot of inspo from graffiti lettering and style writing and intertwined it with my signature aesthetic. Love how the piece came out and hope you all do as well!

Special thank you to my brother, Dad, and Grandpa for helping me with documenting and installation. Much love!

STRONGARM

17”x 17” Spray Paint on Wood panel

This is my personal favorite of the blackout series, from the dynamic silhouette in contrast to the cute little characters in the corner with the floral pattern breaking through the composition, I love the energy that comes from this painting. It was my first time making one of my own pieces with 100% spray paint. Using a combo of vinyl and hand masked stencils to create all the forms. It was a great learning experience, and I’m excited to share more work that’s 100% spray paint in the future.

LIGHT IN THE DARK

18”x 24” Spray Paint on Mdf panel

This painting was masking hell, but so worth it in the end. I made this prior to getting a vinyl plotter so everything was hand masked, so needless to say my wrist was fried by the end of the project from masking and cutting stencils.

CASTSHADOW

14” x 20” Acrylic and Spray Paint on MDF panel

I’m very happy with how the background came out on this piece and how it plays into shaping the form of the figure as you move up the composition. I couldn’t be happier with how that floral motif came out on this painting, with how thin and precise those lines were.

THE BLACKOUT SERIES

3 original paintings by Luchat.

All of which are painted with spray paint, stenciled with custom vinyl, and some having black gessoed backgrounds. This was my first series working with majority spray paint, and learned a lot from the process. My prior work experience definitely helped, but even then made many mistakes, and look forward to continue with this medium in the future. Will post stills of each painting tomorrow. ✌️

Huge shoutout to my brother @liam_chatham for making this edit. Couldn’t have made it happen without him. And to @sammyzzz.0_0 for helping in the production. Much appreciated bro 🙏
