Oh, to be a Delta woman.

Thank you to my 22 founders for making this moment possible. Being an advocate for my community, creating my own legacy, and striving for greatness in everything I do means everything to me. This journey was far from easy, but it shaped and strengthened me. It reminded me that the strength was always within, I just had to believe. It taught me patience and pushed me to become more than I already was.

I can’t wait to see what more Delta has in store for me. As I wear crimson and cream, I do so with pride, knowledge, and confidence. I will continue to serve selflessly, uplift those around me, and remain committed to my community.

I’m always asked, “Do you know all your sisters?” And my answer is always yes. Every personality, voice, and attitude, I know them all. My headaches, my heart, MY sisters.

Thank you for the laughs, the disagreements, the encouragement, and the memories I’ll cherish forever. This journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s one I would choose with you all over and over again. As I walked the stage on December 19, 2025, I couldn’t help but think back to freshman year, anxious about coming to college, unsure of what to expect. Fear, doubt, and so many questions about what the future would hold… but look at me now.

Philippians 4:6–7 reminds us: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”.

There was never any need for fear or doubt, because the One who wrote my path guided me through every step.

To my parents,
Thank you for your endless love and support throughout this journey. Words can’t express how grateful I am for every sacrifice, seen and unseen. I love you.

To my family,
Thank you for the constant encouragement and unconditional love during my time at Bowie State University. Every achievement has been met with your support, and for that I am truly thankful. I love you all.

To my friends,
Thank you for the laughs, late talks, shoulders to cry on, encouragement, random side quests, “study sessions,” and unwavering support. I love you all.

To my NSO babies,
I am beyond blessed to have each of you. Continue the Bowie State legacy with pride, pursue every goal boldly, and never hesitate to reach out. I’ll always be cheering you on.
