This girly DB bench presses 60s now. What a win.
Proud to be a naturally strong, muscular woman❤️

Strength training and throwing in Crossfit here and there was the best decision I ever made.

Longest vid ever, went fast, felt like an eternity.
These power cleans at bodyweight for reps were NOT it. So I did 125 instead of 135, and it hurt like hell🫠.

Buncha deadlifts. Buncha pull-ups. Buncha death.
Ended with pushups that weren’t even programmed.

Chest day.
Yes, I don’t skip chest day regardless of how I look and what most females don’t want to look like.

It’s truly no longer about this or that type of training, it’s a combination and variety of strength and movement that’s gotten me to where I am today, but the part that no one can take away from me is the part where I put in work.

A true and complete hater will say it’s fake🫠

Just a girl during that time of the month, trying to keep moving in a corner of the house so her Doberman doesn’t get her. Lol by @_lx.s

I will always be a CrossFit girly at heart, but I’m a hardcore sucker for old fashioned strength training now.

The end is my favorite. Even after 9 1/2 years, the math never gets easier. Lmao my CrossFit buddy and I trying to add up the plates + do math for a measly 135 lbs is literally me ALWAYS, in any class, for everything.

I felt like I could’ve added on at the end, but after several rounds of bench pressing, I didn’t want to risk it..

House - a meaning shaped by the reader.

Defined by perception.
Open to interpretation.

House.
A word with shifting meaning.
Where meaning depends on who’s looking.

House.
More than a structure.
Less than a fixed idea.

I don’t think, I know I’m gonna die in this house.

Ps. Do not lift in flippityflops.

Give my rescue/foster some love with me after a long, exhausting day.
Every single day, I rub her belly and remind her how loved she is. I whisper to her, “Brookie, why are you so pretty? How am I so lucky to get to spend this time with you?”

She gets unlimited hugs and kisses, but most importantly, she gets my voice—steady, gentle, present. I talk to her so she never feels alone. The way she did when I’d look out the window to her lying on the dirt, wishing the people inside would come out for any reason. I tell her I’m sorry for the things she went through that she never deserved, for the pain I know about and the pain I’ll never fully understand, because I wasn’t there. I often wonder what happened to the litter she had. And how many.

But she’s here. I’m still in awe of how sweet she is. How open. How trusting—at least with me. She looks at me dead in the eyes, she connects.
I hope she knows that when I look at her, I don’t see her past. I see magic.

Brookie, girl. 💕
