Maybe some things are meant to be understood
only after we stop trying so hard to understand them.

Like the river—
it never asks the rain to stay,
and the rain never promises
how long it will fall.

They simply meet,
touching each other for a while,
and then, quietly,
let nature decide what comes next.

Perhaps people are like that too.

For the longest time,
I thought when someone mattered,
I had to hold on a little tighter,
wait a little longer,
understand a little deeper.

As if love was measured
by how long we could keep something
from slipping away.

Until I realised—
the things that are truly meant for us
do not need to be held so tightly.

They stay.

Not because we asked them to.
Not because we kept finding reasons for them.
But because staying came naturally to them.

The wind never asks the coconut trees to dance.
It simply arrives,
and they move with it.

The rain never asks the river
to make room for it.
It falls,
and the river knows what to do.

There is something beautiful
about things that happen without being forced.

And perhaps that is the quiet truth
I was taking so long to learn—

I was never asking for too much.

Maybe we are forgetting how to simply live.

Somewhere along the way, we started believing that life would finally feel beautiful once everything fell into place. We keep waiting for the right people, the right place, the right version of ourselves — and quietly miss the little moments that are already asking us to stay.

Growing up does something strange to us. We stop getting excited about the smallest things. We stop looking at the sky for no reason, stop letting a song stay with us, stop sitting somewhere just because it feels peaceful. We become so busy trying to build a life worth living that we forget to actually live it.

Not everything has to become a memory worth posting. Not every day needs a purpose. Some days can simply be slow. Some evenings can be spent doing nothing but watching the rain and letting your thoughts breathe.

And maybe that is not wasting time.

Maybe these quiet, ordinary moments are the ones that keep us close to ourselves — reminding us that life was never only about becoming someone, reaching somewhere, or having everything figured out.

Sometimes, it is just about being here.

Feeling something.

Maybe the things we keep waiting for
are not waiting for the right time at all—
they are waiting for us to believe
that we are ready enough.

She has spent a long time waiting.

For a little more courage,
a little more certainty,
for the day when her heart won't tremble at the thought of choosing something unfamiliar.

But the older she gets, the more she understands
that life rarely gives us that kind of certainty.

There will always be a reason to wait.
A little fear to listen to.
A thousand quiet what ifs waiting at the edge of every new beginning.

And maybe she doesn't have to silence them all.

Maybe she can carry them with her.

Maybe being brave was never about feeling ready.
Maybe it was simply about trusting that small, almost unnoticed part of her that still whispers,

“What if it turns out beautifully?”

So, perhaps one evening,
she will stop waiting for the perfect moment.

She will take the road she has been afraid to take,
