Open House NYC unlocks 300 spaces across all five boroughs, and it’s completely free 🗽

As NYers wanting to explore the city more, we hit two spots. At @allisonedenstudios , Allison walked us through her mosaic work and how she got started. I left so inspired, and we’re already asking about workshops. Then @onebutton__ a technology and lighting design firm, showed us circadian lighting and the sound systems they build.

I’d never have stumbled into either of these on my own. Doing this next year and every year after.

Have you done Open House NYC? Drop the spot I should hit next 👇

I’m officially in my fragrance era 🫧 and I just made my very first perfume from scratch. 🙌🏾

Thank you @olfactorynyc for inviting me to your holiday preview! My best smelling friend (Lapo) and I explored different notes, picked our favorite, and the team( our girl Nour) helped us layer it into a scent that’s completely ours. Already planning our next one 🤍

Thank you @youneedmc for having me ✨

I believe in supporting Ghanaian playwrights wholeheartedly.🙌🏾🥹💗

I had the chance to see School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play on Broadway, and it’s easily a 10/10 — the best play I’ve seen all year. Set in 1980s Ghana, it explores colorism, classism, growing into your confidence, and finding where you belong — themes that hit no matter where you grew up.

Thank you to Manhattan Theatre Club for inviting me to the talk-back afterward. Hearing the writer and director speak so openly about the play’s impact, and their own goals and ambitions in theatre, was truly inspiring.

I saw Jocelyn Bioh’s previous work, Jaja’s African Hair Braiding, and watching her take on this world once again was a full-circle moment. If you haven’t seen School Girls yet, go. I’m already booking another ticket to see it again. 🎭

One-bedroom apartment directly across from Portugal’s parliament building. Walkable to basically everywhere (yes, I tested this and walked all the way to Zara). Air-conditioned, historic character with modern touches, full kitchen setup if you actually want to cook.

Then one morning I missed my tour and got woken up by trumpets and a full ceremony happening right outside my window. Did not have that on my Lisbon bingo card (at all😩)

The number you’ve been waiting for: 3 days, 2 nights, roughly $240 total.

If I’m ever back in Lisbon? This is exactly where I’m staying again.

Stays Worth It? …this one gets a yes.
