I'm A National Athlete 🏆

Thank you God for giving me the strength to do what I love each and every day and guiding me through all my trials and tribulations. Glory to You, always.

My 4th meet is officially in the books, with the 4th being my 1st National competition! All within 1 year of powerlifting. If you asked me a year ago where I'd see myself now, never would I have thought I'd be on the national stage, competing with the baddest and strongest people in the game. Believe me, I'm still mind blown!

Although this meet was not my best performance and getting sick while traveling, it definitely was the most humbling experience. There's a lot I need to learn and improve on. There are no excuses. This experience has proven that you can accomplish anything and everything; it's just a matter of how bad you want it. No risk, no story.

We have 2 more potential meets this year. Till then, we are back in the lab refueling and recharging. We got bigger goals and numbers to hit! Prime time 93s, I'm coming!

The Marathon Continues🏁 | Meet Recap (2/3)

PA Debut was a success! Thank you @mpgfitness for hosting a great meet! With this being my 2nd competition & only 6 months of powerlifting under my belt, as Coach said, "we're just scratching the surface." - lifts.ed

4 weeks prior, I was riddled with injuries. Left achilles gave out, my herniated disc flared up after 2yrs of no symptoms, left shoulder strain/tightness during peak week. It was a nightmare! With the power of prayer, rest and the continuous support from my team, we pulled through and showed up!

Went 9/9, a perfect meet! Couldn't have gone any better!
Comp BW: 193lbs | 93kg Athlete
Squats: 413lbs (27lbs meet PR) ⚪⚪⚪
Bench: 325lbs (28lbs meet PR) ⚪⚪⚪
Deadlifts: 507lbs (10lb meet PR) ⚪⚪⚪

Meet Recap (3/3): 1st Powerlifting Competition photos now up! Definitely a reflecting moment uploading these photos.

I remember I had signed up with only 75 days to prep for this competition. 75 days to also lose close to 20lbs (again) to qualify for my weight class. Was I nervous? Absolutely. Did I have anxiety? 1000%. Then I reminded myself: Life is about taking risks. You never know what you're capable of doing until you put yourself in an environment that will help you grow and accomplish these goals. I always said I'd compete one day. Fast forward 6-7yrs later, My Coach and the @5wstrengthclub/@5wbrand family made it all happen. I couldn't have done this without y'all.
