Crates & Plates is quickly becoming the premier open turntable vinyl gathering in the tri state! The vinyl community has been showing up and keeping the vinyl culture alive and thriving. It warms my heart to see new people every month come and share in the experience with us of discovering new music and community.

My partner @beats4daze and I would like to thank everyone who shares these moments with us each and every month. We are truly grateful to have you. Thank you to @johnny_tequila_ and @humblebrickoven for making this possible.

We can’t wait to see all the familiar faces and new ones to follow at the next gathering on 08/18/2024 for Crates & Plates 10!!!!! . We sincerely love our community and again thank you for your patronage!!! #vnylcommunity #vinylgathering #vinylcollection #vinyl #vinylcollector #vinylrecords #vinyladdict #allvinylparty #vinyldjs #vinylove by @_maleet_

We are beyond excited to welcome the legendary Breakbeat Lou to Miller Branch for a special Latin Heritage Month event!

This year marks the 40th year anniversary of his Ultimate Breaks and Beats series, a major source for “golden era hip-hop” producers that would go on to soundtrack countless classics in multiple genres of music. Its impact is still felt to this day.

Come through as we build with Lou about his journey in and contributions to the culture!

Lou will be in conversation with the great DJ @_maleet_

Both will spin a set of their favorite records. Come through! October 17th 1pm-3pm

Join me as I converse with the legendary @breakbeatlou about his experience as a Latino in the genesis of hip hop culture, and how UBB became the cornerstone of some of our most beloved songs and productions since its inception. Breakbeat Lou will also be doing a set of some his favorite records. The Jersey City Library Miller Branch at 489 Bergen Ave, Jersey city is the location, the date October 17th, the time 1pm to 3pm. Looking forward to sharing in this experience to honor Latin Heritage month and Break Beat Lou’s contribution to the culture!!! If you have any questions you want me to ask Lou put them in the comments and I’ll choose the best one’s!!! #breakbeatlou #latinheritagemonth #jerseycitylibrary #hiphopculture taken in Miller Branch Library by @_maleet_
