POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Someone recently told me that we are lucky our hearts can expand to hold love and grief at the same time — hopefully time will make the emptiness in my heart feel less heavy and this post will help ensure we also remember.

I got Pepperjack when she was the size of a tea cup from a barn somewhere in the woods of Maine, no one wanted her because she was so tiny- she was the only cat I wanted.

She watched me become an artist on Washington Ave in Portland, making relief prints and was there during my first screenprint when I fell in love with the process. She watched me and the mates create Maine Competitive Gaming, hosting tournaments at our apartment into what became Backhand Pinball and the very first pinball stream.

She moved with me all the way to Boston when I met Sofia and to Cambridge and then Salem. She watched us grow together and watched my career and life blossom. She was more than just a pet or a cat for Sofia and myself, Pepperjack was a cornerstone, she was a presence, she was everything to us and helped through so many hard times.

We love and miss you so much Pepper, Pepperoni, Pepperoncini, Princess Pep, PJ, Squirrel Girl, Roniroo, Peej, Goblin Girl- I wish we had more time, but I hope we at least made your time the best. by @_marcpatenaude

“Smile... you’re beautiful.”That’s the message we are carrying through the streets of Salem, sharing pre-Valentine’s love and sweet moments - just a small way to remind our community how special they truly are.
