Every Monday for the whole summer, I’m teaching choreography classes catered to my beginners!•I fully understand how intimidating it can be to step into a class for the first time, and I assure you this space will be one that is safe for all to explore and learn. I pride myself on creating a class setting based on respect towards yourself/others, discipline towards achieving your own personal goals, and (most importantly) not losing the fun in training. We will drill foundational movement within street styles, train our ears to absorb music in a more complex and intentional way, and deepen our connection to music in its entirety. •Link is in my bio to register. LYKN UNLEASHED WORLD TOUR NYC 2026 🐺••Still a little surreal that this all even happened. Cannot thank @hughniverse and @ericcdelgado enough for putting me on to this and trusting me. You both inspire me more than you know, so it really did mean a lot 🙏🏽••Hella love to @antonio_that_dancer @candacepong @emilyyatkinson_ because yooooo that was so fun. I felt blessed to have surrounded myself with dancers of your caliber, and what makes it even better is that you are all such fun people to be around. A Reminder 🔆••Kim and I made this on a whim one day in between teaching classes, no real intention to create something to teach. Yet, @halo_dance_crew asked us to teach and we were both DOWN. Fast forward to the day we taught, the main thing I remember was how happy I was. My face literally hurt from how hard I was smiling watching the students push, seeing students from other classes staying later just to watch us, and sharing a teaching space with someone I’ve grown to respect a lot as a mover and as a person. The energy just reminds me to be more present in moments I share with any loved ones. Nothing is permanent in life, so those moments become even more important as time goes by. This is one I’ll hold close. NICE & SLOW. Connection over perfection. ••For those of you that know me, regardless of whether or not you dance, you probably looked at this video, say me dancing like a hoe and thought “Yeah, makes sense” LOL. Oddly enough, this is a very vulnerable post for me. I feel like my training as of recently has been so focused on musicality and my actual physiology that I’ve kinda strayed away from the one aspect of my dance that I always had naturally: performance. Whereas I do understand the importance of execution in performing, there’s a certain connection to the music and to the audience that really makes a performance memorable. People don’t remember how clean the dancers were on stage, but they never forget the little moments. Eye contact, a simple wave, hands grazing as they pass by. Nuance is what really makes a performance what it is. So I was really trying to tap into that with this one. The few heels classes I’ve taken have really pushed me in terms of performance and decision making. This one in particularly taught by my sister @shes_adollbaby really forced me to slow down and not hide behind big tricks or moments (couldn’t help myself a few times ngl 😭). In turn, I stopped looking to be perfect and I started looking for moments to connect. Proud of the outcome regardless. Thank you for this, Amber. You are a beacon of light in the community that needs to be noticed way more. The energy you give is the energy you receive, so it makes sense why you’re so loved. DON’T BE DUMB 2026, PHILLY AND GOVBALL NYC•There was a moment in the car ride home after my first show with @asaprocky in Philadelphia that I sat back and thought “Damn. I just performed with A$AP in front of over 20,000 people. Little me would be so proud”. It really brought a why of mine back into perspective. I want to live my life every day inspired to make that younger me proud. •This was about more than the accomplishment. This was about the culmination of the trials and tribulations I’ve faced since pursuing dance as a career over 2 years ago. All of these ups and downs shaped the dancer, student, teacher and man I am now. I am deserving of all of the success that comes my way, and I’m proud to say I’m finally fully accepting that. •Huge thank you to @monyettc for taking me on this project. Your drive towards putting together a whole spectacle numerous times over all while having to manage a minimum of 60 people at once was nothing short of remarkable. Excited for when our paths cross again, bro. •And shout out to the casts for each city. You are all so damn talented and we did our thing on these stages.
