The final illustration for Shrimptember. 30 drawings in 30 days 😅 I have now learned a lot about crustaceans! This is Porcellanidae / Porcelain crab 🦀 I looked like I had climbed a chimney when I finished this one thanks to all the inevitable black smudges #shrimptember26 #porcelaincrab #Porcellanidae #sealifeart #crabillustration by @_martinascott

I painted this pretty parasite for day 25 of Shrimptember. Argulus is a genus of fish lice. If it were not for this drawing challenge I can safely say I’d never have heard of or drawn this little crustacean. Also, since seeing the leopard print (kinda) pattern on this - I’ve had Shania Twain in my head so now you can too! #shrimptember26 #argulus #crustacean #gouacheillustration #sealifeart by @_martinascott

This pom pom crab looks a little unhinged to me. There’s something about the eyes. What would he be cheering for? Danger, I think. #shrimptember26 #boxercrab #pompomcrab #lybiatessellata #crabillustration by @_martinascott

This is Lybia tessellata also known as pom-pom crab or boxer crab. This was a fun one to work on with oil pastels, just look at those big orange cheeks! #shrimptember26 #crabart #pompomcrab #lybiatessellata #crabillustration by @_martinascott

Ibacus brucei / glabrous fan lobster for Day 21 of Shrimptember 🎨 I initially misread the name and thought for a while it was called a glamorous fan lobster, which I kinda prefer #shrimptember26 #lobster #ibacusbrucei #fanlobster #lobsterpainting by @_martinascott
