It’s all an illusion. Shifting shapes, subtle distortions—and just like that, magic comes to life. #videomapping #masmsp #cycling74 @acquario_immersioni @circolomasada by @_mattafunk_

This year I let my tomatoes grow completely wild: nine plants, no pruning. And now they’ve literally exploded.

At this point, from June to September, I only eat my own tomatoes. The ones from supermarkets are almost inedible by comparison. The wait through winter is long, but the pleasure of finally having them again in summer is priceless.

We’ve become used to having everything available all the time. But are we sure the price we pay for that isn’t too high?

Does it really make sense to have tomatoes all year round if they only look like tomatoes, but have absolutely no taste? #taste #tomatos #garden #nature taken in Valtellina by @_mattafunk_

@ied_milano #sounddesign #20yr #sound #ied taken in IED Milano by @_mattafunk_

Back with a bang at Acquario.

The peak hours with Wata Igarashi were incredible. He has this ability to build what feels like an endless crescendo, locking layers of tension into an ever-rising spiral until the whole sonic spectrum seems to dissolve into white noise — music pushed right to the edge of saturation.

With my visuals, I tried to follow the same logic.

The real challenge wasn’t going up — it was going down while still creating the illusion of rising. Like climbing an endless staircase inside an Escher drawing.

At first, I kept thinking I needed more FPS, more light, more effects. Then I started to understand the mechanism: it wasn’t about adding more, but about creating the perception of a continuous increase in energy, even when the system was actually resetting and making space for the next climb.

Thank you Wata for the experience, and huge thanks to the Acquario crew, who have been putting an incredible amount of work into these nights for the past 10 years. #techno #videomapping #technodivani #audiovisual @acquario_immersioni @wataigarashi taken in Masada by @_mattafunk_

Still searching for the best transitions — moving from harmonic moments into dark, deep spaces. Sometimes two hands just aren’t enough. #moog #techno #dfam #subharmonicon #biglead by @_mattafunk_

Just modulating the decay can create surprisingly interesting behaviors and completely shift the overall energy of a track. One of my favorite techniques. #moog #techno #deeptechno #live #decay by @_mattafunk_

The intro of Techno Bug.
A suspended moment where machines begin to breathe, slowly waking from their sleep, ready to come alive and start the live set. #live #techno #moog #abletonpush #deeptechno by @_mattafunk_

A deep techno journey built on hypnotic grooves, suspended atmospheres and slow-burning tension. Dark, spacious and immersive, moving between raw pulse, subtle textures and moments of emotional release. #deeptechno #techno #djset by @_mattafunk_
