Look ma, I'm famous! Haha - landed my first background acting gig in the Renaissance Faire episode of Always Sunny In Philadelphia! Was so fun to watch it air tonight. Everyone was so nice and awesome to work with, and it was cool to see the behind-the-scenes of a production like this. 💙✨ by @_mayclaire_

It was so fun to dust off the ol' clawhammer banjo at the Topanga Banjo Fiddle Festival yesterday! Haven't been since 2018, so I'm glad to see it's still going strong with its inclusive, folk spirit. Thanks so much to @erinwtomita @christiantomita and @mainstjam for making it the best time ❤️ by @_mayclaire_

Wishing everyone love and light this December. I know a lot of people who have been struggling with loss or other hardships. Yesterday my best friend had to say goodbye to her mom, and a beautiful rainbow blessed us at the ceremony. Today, I saw this amazing rainbow halo around the sun. There is magic all around us, and so many things to be grateful for, even in the hard times. I hope everyone has people they can spend time with, and know it's ok to ask for help and grace. 💕✨🕊️🌈 by @_mayclaire_

Happy Halloween from Kiki!! by @_mayclaire_

#latergram of @myusernamedoesnotreflectwhoiam's and my anniversary trip to England in June. Had a wonderful time despite the lack of AC visiting London, Oxford, and Canterbury. Highlights included dressing up for the Queen's College Oxford ball and singing in the Exeter College chapel choir, going to a revolving cheese bar and a bizarre arcade in London, and visiting some dear friends from grad school. by @_mayclaire_

I am so proud of @myusernamedoesnotreflectwhoiam who sang a beautiful tribute to One Direction's Liam Payne to a sold out crowd at the Regent Theater last week!! A small group of @angelcitychorale members were asked to perform for this event, and Aaron was such a star. ✨ Forever your cheerleader, your coach, and your support. ❤️ Thank you to @club90s_la for organizing the show! #livemusic #musician #onedirection #singer #choir #voicecoach #singinglessons #musiclessons #voicelessons #music #fyp by @_mayclaire_

Not everyone thinks they can sing. Maybe you're afraid that you will sing something "wrong." Maybe you don't want people to judge you negatively. Maybe you just don't think your own voice sounds "good." I'm here to challenge these notions and allow you to express yourself through music, through song, and through using your voice. My voice lessons are not about singing the right notes or being "perfect." They are about expressing your inner voice, discovering yourself - meeting yourself where you are and accepting that, while allowing you to grow and realize your potential in a safe and healthy way. I want to help foster an environment where you can feel like you can express who you truly are and cultivate the feeling that you are capable of doing the things you want to do and be who you truly desire to be.

I have a bachelor's degree in world music and music industry from UCLA and Master's in vocal performance from Oxford University. I have learned so much through all of the types of music I've been involved with singing in, playing in, and leading over the years. I want to share this knowledge and use it to build people up and to build bridges, because the world needs more of that right now.

I want to be the change, and open up the opportunity to take lessons with me to people who might otherwise not have access to this kind of training. Starting now, I will be offering a sliding scale for my hour-long voice lessons.

Please reach out to me at mayclairemusic@gmail.com to set up a lesson. I primarily teach on Zoom, but if this poses an issue for you I am happy to discuss other options.
