To some people she was just a dog. To us, she was family.

Yesterday we said goodbye to our beautiful Zala, and our hearts are completely broken.
She was with us before the busy years. She was there when we brought home each of our babies, and she followed us through every move and every new house. Wherever we went, she was home.

We’ll miss the way she’d trot around the house on a constant mission for food, sure that something tasty was about to drop. We’ll miss finding her stretched out belly up in the sun, soaking up every last bit of warmth, because if there was one thing Zala couldn’t stand, it was winter and the cold. And we’ll miss seeing her curled up in her spot on the couch. It was always hers, and it always will be.
We were so lucky to be your family.
Run free, sweet girl. We hope you’ve found the sunniest spot there is. Love you sweet girl by @_megmorgan_

Controversial? Maybe.

But I come from a long line of hard working men and women who have taught to bloody work hard.

Running a business is absolutely hard. Some months are brilliant, some are humbling, and others brutally painful… but none of it is because Susan didn’t like my post or mercury is in retrograde.

The economy is real. The algorithm is real. But blaming them changes nothing. What changes things? Showing up for your clients or your customers, knowing your numbers, doing the work when nobody’s watching, and taking radical responsibility for the whole beautiful mess.

I’d rather spend my energy fixing what I can control than whinging about what I can’t.

Three years in, (yes I’m an only a baby in the game) but so far that mindset is the only “hack” that’s ever worked. 💪🏼 Hard work, determination and surrounding myself with other incredible people and family.

Who else is with me? ❤️ by @_megmorgan_

Mother’s Day yesterday with our Matriarch, Nanny Joany, the most incredible, strong and resilient woman I’ve ever known. Surrounded by some of the women I admire the most in this world. The women that have shaped the Mother I am today. Blessed 🤍 by @_megmorgan_
