WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY!! yesterday me and the family visited Southport Wayfarers contemporary Art exhibition with over 100 artists work on display including my own.
It felt so nice to have my work displayed for others to appreciate and enjoy it, and also connecting with Artists, buyers and collectors too.
Thank you so much to everyone involved for putting on such a beautiful show 🎉🥰🙏🏽✨🧡🫂

Word 💭 of the day “CHANGE” it’s good, it’s tough, it can be messy, it can be a lesson we needed all along to take the next step towards where we wish to go.
Recently we’ve moved homes 🏡 being pregnant 🤰🏼 and with 2 young daughters it’s been stressful but a good kind of stress as it’s helped us to realise what’s important and what are main priorities are.

I can’t wait to meet are little boy 🩵 which hopefully he will make an appearance in less than 12 weeks, until then I am still unpacking and settling in our new home and excited to be sharing my work at @wayfarersartfair which I will be attending most of the day this Saturday, maybe see some of you lovely souls if you live close by.

Either way love, light and creativity Samantha 💞

Meet the Artist

Samantha Messias is a self-taught hyperrealist artist whose work explores themes of resilience, compassion, connection, and the value of life.

Working primarily in graphite and charcoal, Samantha creates highly detailed drawings that often blur the line between drawing and photography, inviting viewers to pause and engage more deeply with both the subject and the story behind each piece.

A number of Samantha's key works will be on show at #WCAF by @_messias_art

Some seasons of life are heavier than others.

Sometimes you’re healing, raising children, navigating uncertainty, carrying responsibilities, and trying to hold onto your dreams all at the same time.

This is your reminder that you don’t need perfect circumstances to be an artist.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You don’t need to move at anyone else’s pace.

Your creativity still matters.
Your voice still matters.
And every gentle step forward counts.

To anyone who needed this reminder today:

Keep going. 💛✍🏽✨

It’s funny how after not drawing for nearly 2 years, I found myself doubting whether or not I will still be good at what I love….. 🤔 “how to I layer again? Did I use this blending tool first or that one? What if it’s looks terrible and I can’t draw the way I use too….”

We all get those negative thoughts in our heads, I find the best way to shut them up 😅 is to just start, you will learn again, remember the skills, even learn new ones along the way.
It’s okay to rest, pause, start again the goal is to keep moving forward and taking consistent actions, even small, towards that which you love and truly want.

Love, light and creativity 🧡✨✍🏽
