Merchant’s House 1 - 21426

Acrylic on paper

Take what you see and place it without context. Warp it, change the colour, take advantage of artistic license. A slow afternoon letting eyes dart around, picking up not much other than shapes and incomplete objects. by @_mgr.art_

Cocktail Residue 2 - 8626

Digital drawing and original sketch

Forms created by bubbles left over in a glass bottle. I enjoy boredom at times. Boredom lets the eyes linger a little longer on ordinary objects. Sometimes long enough to spot something new.. or to distort it into something entirely different.

Commissioned piece from last year-

A rather large study of Mike Oldfield’s ‘Tubular Bells’ album artwork for a private client.

I learned the hard way that to blend acrylics you’ll need a pretty sturdy brush, else you’ll end up picking brush hairs out of dried paint with tweezers late into the night. But overall a success. Painting chrome is a lot of fun.

Probably something about being your own biggest supporter but really just drawing some lines and seeing where they went

Anyway the other night I had beans on toast in bed and put the plate on the floor so inevitably got Bean Foot and ended up wiping my foot with toilet paper at 4am taken in Norwich, Norfolk by @_mgr.art_

Some guys, here they are
They’re ready to party. Are you??

Anyway this morning I found my charging cable had melted inside my phone and I only had 6% charge left to complete today’s crossword. At least I’ll be able to enjoy the crunchy leaves underfoot as I shuffle over to the phone repair shop. taken in Norwich, Norfolk by @_mgr.art_

My noggin has decided to hang my soul out to dry for a spell, directly after making the terrifying leap from a paycheck to trying to scrounge pennies for my art. I miss grapefruit and being able to put pen to paper. Keep on keeping on yeah? taken in Norwich, Norfolk by @_mgr.art_
