‘ if you help others become more , does that in turn mean you too become more ?’ Deep thoughts as I prepare my final football post. The boys won it all Saturday night , and I could not have been more proud of them, or any happier for every guy on that team I just stood there and smiled. . My son and I shared a teary post game hug , with him saying ‘ they did it dad, they did it ‘. Watching the boys during pregame , I stood right here. And as they ran their final warm up lap of the season , at least 12 of them left their lap to give me a hug. That is beyond words. That is my gift. Now, I know they won the game for themselves. Their moment in time. But those pregame hugs ? Mine. I take those with me. That is how I am ending this chapter. And I think I wrote it well. by @_michael_nolan_

honestly , my best days in life are when I get these wicked reminders that it was never about me anyways. One of the great things in life is watching those you love doing what they love most. Watching my son fish , catch monsters , his heart beating out of his chest ? Priceless. #tbt. Going back to 2012. Breakfast time. I don’t remember why Andrew was sitting all alone. Either he was the last one for breakfast and no one would move and make a spot for him , or he just decided he needed his own space. That smirk he is wearing 😂?? taken in Cuba by @_michael_nolan_

Yeah !! Andrew home from a 12 day stint in Churchill. Missed him a lot, as he is my son , my roommate , and best of all, my friend. My kids make my life better. No , they make my life. Thought the rowdy one might like lactose free milk. NO. Randy does not. Even made him jump back in utter disgust. Heard him say ‘ WTF ‘ post jump. He was not having it. 😯. Note. And so it ends. Tomorrow, Mel leaves for Australia. For god knows how long. Tonight was a come and go snacks and drinks , which somehow ended with Andrew and the angry elf planning on getting married. This seems like a good way for this chapter to end. A picture is worth a thousand words. So maybe this one is worth three. At least to me. Mel C. Completes her first full marathon. Sends me a simple 4 word text when she is done. And it becomes a great day for me. The rest of the day is just me f*ucking beaming. Andrew & I do shots the second he wakes up. ‘ To Mel ‘ I see social media posts that I look at 354 times. I wipe away probably 3533 tears. I tell everyone. Anyone. Randos in the street. Cause my daughter did something amazing , checking something off from her bucket list, and she is happy AF. This is me and Mel , doing some Xmas AM stuff. Laughing and smiling. someone told me ‘ Mel smiles like you. ‘. No. But if I have a good enough day once a month to smile like Mel , I am doing well.
