About five years ago, I was absolutely lost and unsure of myself and what my future would look like. If you knew me back then, you might remember a time when I would travel to new countries on my own, seeking something within myself.
On that journey, I found Islam and became Muslim. It didn’t come without its challenges. Some people thought I was going through a phase or an existential crisis. My family didn’t quite understand my decision, but they supported me. Friends were confused and curious about why I made this choice. I lost some people along the way, but I simply grew and learned to love my solitude with Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ.
Every duaa (prayer) I’ve made since has been answered, or I’ve received better than what I imagined.
For example, I never thought marriage would be in the cards for me. But looking back, with so much support, seeing our loved ones come together to celebrate our marriage was truly indescribable.
Azeem, thank you for being the answer to my duaa by @_michi.mouse_
