Alister vs Glamour Girl
Hey Gurrfriend! I get so many questions asking the difference between ALister and Glamour Girl so here you go!

Key difference
Eyeshadow style: The main distinction between the looks.
-Alister: 1–2 brown-toned eyeshadows for a subtle, understated look.
-Glamour Girl: A more striking eye using 2+ colors (neutral or vibrant).

Customization
Both looks are fully customizable. Clients can opt for a natural application or a more enhanced, made-up style.
For example, many clients prefer lighter eyeshadow but request winged liner because it adds a touch of fierceness or they'll want popping eyes but a lighter face application!

How to choose
You can book Alister and add:
-a wing, heavy eyeliner, or colored lips for extra drama
-or keep it simple with a soft eye, nude lip or just gloss

Book Glamour Girl if you love eyes that pop and have the option to want the overall face application to be heavier or softer!

Makeup can be intimidating for anyone, but I feel deeper skin tones often get it hardest😅products can turn out too light or look gray/ashy.

As a beginner makeup artist, it’s important to ask the right questions. Every artist has their own style, but remember that every client is different.

Before you apply makeup, ask the client about any concerns. Some clients aren’t familiar with the process and may say “no” at first, until you start working on something. That’s why it’s helpful to keep the conversation open as you go.

Also ask about what they like and dislike, and what look or vision they have in mind for themselves.

If your client seems very particular, let them view some of the process before you continue too far, so you’re not assuming they’ll automatically love what you’re doing.

Ultimately, your job is more than applying makeup. You’re there to enhance their beauty and make sure they feel comfortable throughout the entire experience. by @_mikaje
