The Marching Storm ⛈️
I am grateful for this band and proud to say that I marched for the Marching Storm. Through this program, I’ve built lifelong friendships, grown as a musician, and, most importantly, found a family.

The Storm has taught me lessons that will stay with me for the rest of my life and prepare me for the real world. I came into this program not knowing much, and I leave as a man who values integrity, discipline, perseverance, leadership, and so much more. Every challenge, every rehearsal, every performance, and every moment has helped shape the person I am today.

To the Directors, thank you for believing in me and trusting me to lead as a Drum Major. This role comes with a lot of responsibilities, and I’m honored that you saw something in me that allowed me to serve as an example for my peers. Throughout this journey, you placed me in situations that were real life and taught me how to lead with confidence, character, and humility. Thank you for your guidance, your wisdom, and for showing us what true leadership looks like.

To the Storm members, thank you for making these years unforgettable. You gave me memories that I will cherish forever, friendships that will last a lifetime, and experiences that I will carry with me wherever life takes me. Thank you for pushing me to be better, encouraging me when I needed it most, and becoming a second family.

thank you for being more than drum majors. Thank you for the laughs, the long rehearsals, the early mornings, the late nights, and for always pushing me to be the best version of myself. We’ve shared experiences that only we truly understand. I’m grateful for the bond we’ve built, and the brotherhood that will last forever. No matter where life takes us, you’ll always be my brothers, and I know we’ll continue to encourage and support one another for years to come. I love y’all, and I’m proud of yall boys⚡️

First and foremost, I couldn’t have done this without You, Lord. Thank You for Your guidance, patience, and protection throughout this journey. Thank You for constantly reminding me that I was capable, especially during the moments when overwhelming thoughts tried to bring me down. You reminded me that all of the hard work, perseverance, and determination would be worth it in the end. Thank You for encouraging me to keep striving for greatness. For that and so much more, I am forever grateful.

To my family,

Thank you for being there every step of the way. The love, support, encouragement, and positivity you’ve poured into me have meant more than words can express. You all are my “why” and the reason I continue striving for greatness. You are my village, and I love each and every one of you.

To Prairie View A&M University,

Thank you for shaping me into the person I am today. I’ve learned so much from every person you’ve brought into my life. This university gave me the confidence to dream bigger, pursue my vision, and become the leader I aspired to be. Thank you for the friendships that have grown into lifelong family, the professors and faculty who invested in me, and the unforgettable memories that I’ll cherish forever.

Most importantly, thank you for allowing me to proudly call PVAMU my home.

Thank you, Marching Storm, for giving me a family I never knew I needed and the honor of leading as Drum Major. This chapter taught me confidence, leadership, patience!!! 😂, and so much more. Grateful to be part of a continuing legacy of drum majors! To my 5ive—my brothers forever—thank y’all for making this last chapter unforgettable. Love y’all always.
