Realm of Light | Kate Maestri

A London-based glass artist, Maestri works at the intersection of art and architecture, exploring how the spatial and emotional qualities of architectural environments can be distilled into abstract sculptural forms.

Characterised by minimal compositions and suspended planes of colour, her work explores the relationship between light, perception and space. Through cast glass, colour and trapped air bubbles capture and diffuse light, creating works that shift in appearance as their surroundings change.

SAI | Pil Gyu Jang

SAI by Pil Gyu Jang, currently on display at Mint.
Meaning “between” in Korean, SAI is a modular partition system exploring the relationships between people, objects and space.

Built from movable cherry wood frames connected by removable leather hinges, the system can rotate and reconfigure into different arrangements. Screens, shelves and a small desk can be added, allowing the structure to adapt to changing needs.

Rather than defining space permanently, SAI offers a flexible framework for shaping it, bringing together wood, leather and brass in a simple, quiet material language.

The project reflects Jang’s interest in how furniture can move beyond fixed function to become part of the way we live and interact with our surroundings.

Poodle Armchair | Mati Sipiora

Crafted from stainless steel and upholstered in 100% plant-based Dalmatian fabric, the Poodle Armchair explores the interplay between sculptural structure and tactile softness. Its distinctive tubular frame creates a fluid, architectural silhouette, while the textured upholstery introduces warmth and a playful material contrast.

Balancing industrial precision with organic form, the armchair reflects a considered approach to contemporary furniture, where the strength of metal meets the softness of an inviting, sculptural seat.

Mati Sipiora is a Polish designer and craftsman whose practice bridges contemporary minimalism with traditional handcraft. Developed within his family’s 30-year-old metalworking workshop, his work celebrates the natural qualities of steel through thoughtful forms and meticulous making.

Exhibited as part of ‘Curated Connections’, by @onandondesigns in collaboration with Creative Project Foundation, celebrating contemporary Polish design in London.

Lamps | Vincent Schwarz

Vincent Schwarz’s lamps explore the relationship between process, material and function, combining blown soda lime glass with copper.

Each form is blown directly onto a copper nozzle that remains fused to the glass, becoming an integral part of the fixture. During firing, the copper naturally oxidises, developing dark tones and vivid red where it is sealed beneath the glass.

Brasa Stool | Tom Blackmore

Brasa Stool by British designer Tom Blackmore distils the material language of his Sculpting Perception collection into a restrained, tactile form that explores how cultural value is assigned to materials.

Hand-sculpted from agglomerated cork using bespoke carving tools, the stool is hand dyed and finished with beeswax, celebrating the warmth, softness and natural character of cork. Its generous seat and quiet proportions invite prolonged contact with the material, while subtle variations preserve the individuality of each piece.

Block Vase ed.2 | Tok Studio

Block Vase explores alternative methods of glassmaking through a modular wooden mould of irregular, movable blocks, allowing the form to be shaped during the blowing process.

Inspired by the monolithic sculptures of Polish artist Roman Tarkowski, the vase features a fragmented structure, with transparent and opaque glass creating shifting translucency and a blurred, painterly effect.

Founded by Sonia Bąk-Tokarska and Michał Tokarski in Krakow, Tok Studio combines experimentation, craftsmanship and technology to create objects between functional design and art.

Swollen Etagere is a freestanding shelf by American designer Nate Bradley, based in London, whose work explores the relationship between playfulness and seriousness.

Inspired by conversational prompts around the idea of “increase”, the piece applies a single rule across every aspect of its construction.

Desk One | Joshua Knee

Desk One is a contemporary office desk by Cheshire-based product and furniture designer Joshua Knee, whose practice explores materials, making and the way products are constructed.

A solid ash frame is paired with an expressive recycled plastic work surface, with mechanical fixings allowing key components to be removed, repaired or replaced over time.

HANN | Formsophy

Crafted from recycled aluminium and basalt, HANN explores the relationship between raw material, texture and form. Its monolithic aluminium surface appears to have solidified from a state of flux, capturing the fluidity of molten metal through the casting process.

The rugged aluminium top contrasts with the dark, grounding basalt legs, creating a sculptural form that feels both primal and refined.

Formsophy, the artistic practice of Alicja Prussakowska and Jakub Kijowski, describes their approach as romantic brutalism, balancing rawness with refinement through traditional and experimental making processes.
