You ever had a nightmare and it felt real, but when you finally woke up and realized it wasn’t you took that deep sigh of relief and either went back to sleep or got on with your day?

I don’t know what that feels like. I haven’t been able to really breath since December 16th. I feel like I’m living a nightmare on loop. I haven’t slept. Not a day without crying. Every day has felt like one of the hardest days I’ve ever lived.

My Superman is gone, and I don’t know how to move forward without him. Moments of joy are accompanied by pain and sadness. I can hear him, but I can’t see him. I can’t feel him. I can’t hug him. I can’t hold his hand. Basic tasks are hard. Finding strength to get through the day without falling apart is difficult. Words don’t really make enough sense to understand how my heart truly feels…

Daddy, our love will forever be a representation of God’s love; selfless, pure, intentional, patient, kind, honest, and vulnerable. Thank you for the amazing life you shared with me. Thank you for the laughs, the love, the care, the protection, for listening, and our friendship.

Your name and your memory will live on, forever. I will never stop loving you.

Thankful I answered.
Overflowing with gratitude.

Winning this Championship is beyond the hats, the shirts, and the rings. It’s about the growth, the bond, the trust, and the resilience this team adopted to be able to accomplish one common goal.

What an honor it is to stand beside my coaches each week and pour into our athletes. What an honor it is to nurture, develop, and guide our athletes to give their best each week and for them to trust that I will give them everything I can to make sure they succeed.

This Thursday, 1/29, we are hosting our Play4Kay 🏀 game against Cardinal Gibbons! We are extremely excited for this night, as we will have the honor of recognizing all Women cancer survivors in attendance 💕 Join us in the stands, to cheer on the fighters, warriors, their families, and supporters as we give special recognition during halftime of our game.

Also, please consider donating to our Play4Kay fundraiser, as we raise funds to support the research, development, and resources the foundation provides. All funds raised go directly to Play4Kay. The fundraiser link is in our bio 🫶🏽

Around this time last year, I found out you were gone. I have cried many days and nights since then, angry and upset about you being taken from me. Filled with sorrow and pain, knowing that I’ll never see you again. I’ve yearned for your voice and even your smell, wishing for some abnormal experience to connect me back to you. I’ve opened our text thread time and time again, knowing that the messages will never change. So many great things have happened this year and I have struggled to find joy and celebration because I can’t share them with you. I miss our deep conversations, our bonding time, our constant flow of love… I deeply miss you.

Daddy, you are still everything to me. This life has been challenging without you, but you will always live through me. Thank you for giving me more than enough of an example to motivate me to keep going like you did, when I don’t have the energy. Thank you for constantly affirming me, so I can keep those words in my heart. Thank you for believing in me when I was unsure of myself. Thank you for the space you gave me to love you unconditionally.
