A little matching drink and outfit moment

I present a spiced plum matcha latte made homemade spiced plum jam 💜
The jam was made with plums picked along a local trail. Honestly an 11/10 drink. Had to make it iced as well since it's getting a bit warm out today.

A heartfelt farewell to August.
Spent a lot of time outdoors and with family this month.
Hiked up God's Thumb and almost met him up there too. (I slipped right by the edge)
Had another visit from my brother and showed around the PNW a little bit more.
And of course, I drank lots of good coffee.
It's bittersweet to see this month go.

An essential part of my morning.
I've been brewing lots of pour overs lately and I've quite enjoyed starting my days with them. Currently, I have brewed up a medium roast blend with caramel and nutty notes.

I'm still holding onto summer with this drink. 🍅
I know it may sound a bit odd, but this tomato syrup pairs rather well with the deep earthy taste of this matcha.
I've seen a few different tomato syrup recipes floating around and I was very curious to give it a try.

I just made a simple tomato, vanilla, and sugar maceration to draw out the natural juices of the tomato.
It's sweet, lightly fruity, and a bit of good old umami tomato taste to it. (You're just going to have to try it for yourself)

Anyways, after trying it out, I thought it might best go with a matcha latte(I'm a little hesitant to try it with coffee, but maybe that's next?)

Drink🍅🐛: tomato vanilla syrup, milk, @thematchafreak umi matcha, and a sweet cream cold foam

Photo dump from my last camping trip.
I spent a few days out doors and in the mountain with my lil beans and sister-in laws.

We went for a nice over 3 mile meadow hike one of the days up on Mt. Rainier. It had the most beautiful views and ple ty of wildflowers in bloom. It wasn't a heavily trafficed trail either and made for a very peaceful walk (except the flies were biting horribly and we forgot the bug spray.) But the views outweighed the the many bite we sustained.
The kids also did so well and I love how adventurous they both are.

I'm looking forward to going on another hike here soon! Until I see you again, Mt Rainier 🫡

A sweet summer treat for these hot days. ☀️
The ice cream is quite good on its own. As you can see I've already dug into it, but the addition of espresso, honey, and a pinch of salt add another dimension of flavor.
