Thank you so much @syluskindnessproject for inviting me to be part of this amazing project alongside so many talented artists! 💜 My personal interpretation of Sylus and Valko is definitely on the more comedic side. Since Valko is an outcast (and a red-haired little beast 😭), I like to imagine Sylus basically taking him in and making sure he always knows he's loved and treated equally... even if he gotta take him on dates along with MC and call him a good boy 👀 This is completely just my own fun headcanon for laughs! #bringvalkoback Almost 10 days of silence from @loveanddeepspace Valko deserves better than this. Release him! Something that truly broke me while making this was realizing how little we actually got to know him. I wanted to watch his story unfold, understand who he was beyond the glimpses we were given, and see how he grew. Instead, it feels like we were left with nothing but what could have been. I was supposed to post this when he was finally released, but I guess that's never happening. I literally found out he was cancelled while I was painting this, and it completely killed my motivation. It's such a shame. More than anything, I feel for everyone who poured their time and talent into bringing him to life, not just the designers, but the entire team behind him. I hope the company is willing to listen to the rest of the community's feedback with the same urgency. If not... I think that says enough on its own. Rafayel as the Fallen Angel. What inspired this study for me; "The Fallen Angel" is a famous painting by Alexandre Cabanel, completed in 1847. It depicts the biblical story of the fall of Lucifer. I believe there's poetic parallels between Rafayel and Lucifer in Cabanel’s The Fallen Angel. Both are striking figures of beauty, pride, and sorrow. Neither openly begs for forgiveness but both ache for something they believe they’ve lost forever. Lucifer’s fall was born of rebellion, a defiant refusal to submit. Similarly, Rafayel chose to defy the prophecy, not out of pride, but in the name of love. That quiet act of defiance, driven by emotion rather than ego, is what drew me to create this particular piece. I lost a special shade of pink paint a long time ago, Ever since that day, no matter how many times I try to summon her from memory, my hands falter, my colors fall short. I can scarcely echo the hues of her brilliance, nor cradle the ember of her fire.
