Here are some photos from our little cabin getaway over the weekend. I didn’t have access to a disposable camera so I made the photos look like Polaroids on the Afterlight app, just for fun!

The tiny house style cabin was perfect and had everything we needed for a little “glamping” in the woods.

It was great to escape the noise and speed of the city and just explore the woods, look for native plants, listen to birds, and sit by a fire. On the first day, we visited a waterfall that was just off the highway on an unmarked trail. On the second day, we went for a hike where we saw two black bears on the trail and a few Canada Jays! There is so much to see out in the mountains and I can’t wait to return. I am so grateful that my partner Chris and I share the same reverence for nature and wildlife.

I feel rested and peaceful, ready to go back to work in the library tomorrow. by @_mountain.ash_
