In 2024, I made a decision that changed my life… I decided to co-author a book and share pieces of my story I once kept hidden. Honestly, I never imagined it would do what it did. What started as obedience and healing turned into something bigger than I expected.

There was a time when I questioned if my pain, my setbacks, and even my shame would define me. Now I realize God was using every chapter to prepare me for purpose.

To see the book become an international bestseller and know that my story is helping people heal is something I will never take for granted. From the battles nobody saw, to the accomplishments people celebrate today, I remain grateful for every lesson, every tear, every closed door, and every victory.

What the enemy tried to use to break me, God turned into purpose.

What once felt like shame became a testimony.

This journey was never just about titles, recognition, or accomplishments… it was about obedience, healing, and reminding others they can rise too.

If you’re carrying shame, pain, or doubt, don’t give up on yourself. God still calls people with scars. Sometimes the greatest calling comes from the deepest wounds. ✨

Each of these photos is of a beautiful person and entire life that should still be here. Each precious Black life stolen by the police in the Madison area in the last few years. Please think deeply about what this means and how their entire LIVES have been stolen from them. And from their their children, family, friends and loved ones. Each stolen life is a whole entire person who should be alive and here and home. To see the false narratives and lies and the attempts to criminalize and dehumanize and “justify” the murder and executions of these beautiful lives. Every single person should be alive and here and home and this never ever should have happened. Justice for each stolen life. Each precious Black life stolen by police, agents of terror and violence and racism and white supremacy. They must be stopped. I would do anything to bring them back, anything. Each of these victims of police brutality, deadly racism, violence, and terror should have received community outrage, action, protests, and vigils. Justice for Rashad, Aajayah, Aaron, Kevin, Corey, Richard, Christopher, Eliot, Rodney, Brandon, Tony, and each precious life stolen by these killer cops and violence workers. by @_mskeys

this is one of many messages I have received from military family members whose loved ones are on the ground right now and don’t know where else to turn

it is so so much worse than the pentagon wants the american people to know it is - continuous bombings with little to no resources, including even water to put out the fires

I am not sharing this to fear monger, I am sharing this because the only way we are going to be able to stop it is if we put immense public pressure on both congress and this administration, so please please spread the word

Garnet is free but many veterans remain in ICE custody waiting to be deported. What thanks is this for their service? ICE has deported hundreds of veterans over the years after the military promised them citizenship. Immigrant veterans struggle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injuries that the same rate as the rest of the veteran population which increases criminal justice involvement by 60%. This is a failure to take care of veterans plain and simple.

About Face stands firmly that no one is illegal on stolen land and all those in ICE custody must be released. We are showing the lie of the system with how they treat veterans but we believe no one should be going through this. Free them all.

we all have our different views on how @jamestalarico town-halls are going. What I will say for me, he answered some tough questions about the black community from health care, education, and hate crimes plus more good, bad or indifferent.

my advice is to do more research and have questions ready that pertain to what’s in his wheelhouse for the betterment of our state as a whole. Look at the laws in place and/or the ones that aren’t. Get familiar!

for me he answered them the best way he can as a man who does not look like us. At the end of the day we need to VOTE! No candidate is perfect, the system isn’t perfect, but we are in a fight so please GO TO THE POLLS!!!
