We’ve been keeping a little secret… 🥹🤍

I want to be honest about something that’s been sitting heavy on our hearts 🤍

When we found out we were having another boy, there was a part of me that felt upset. We had prayed for a girl, I had imagined what it would be like to have a daughter, I feel our souls needed a daughter and for the first time, I feel as if God didn’t answer our prayer

And I’ve wrestled with feeling guilty for even admitting that.

Because I KNOW babies are a gift from God. Yet God entrusted another precious son to us 💙

But I’m also learning that faith doesn’t mean pretending we never feel disappointed. I can bring my honest feelings to God and still trust Him.

Maybe one day we’ll understand why our prayers looked different than the answer.

For now, we’ll choosing to surrender the daughter we prayed for and embrace the son God has given us 🤍

“Look at the fruit.”

One of the most dangerous deceptions is believing that appearing godly is the same as being transformed by God.

Just because someone goes to church, posts scriptures, prays in public, or talks about God doesn’t mean they know Him. A title doesn’t produce fruit. A platform doesn’t produce fruit. A religious appearance doesn’t produce fruit.

Jesus warned us about this. There are people who honor Him with their lips, but their hearts are far from Him.

The real question isn’t: “How Christian do they sound?”

The question is: “What fruit does their life produce?”

Do they walk in love?
Do they show mercy?
Do they gossip, judge, manipulate, and tear others down while claiming to represent Christ?
Do they use God’s name as a mask while living contrary to His character?

A tree doesn’t have to announce what it is. The fruit reveals it.

This isn’t a message to point fingers at others—it’s a call for self-examination. Because God is not impressed by performance, religious routines, or a carefully crafted image. He looks at the heart.

Many know how to act saved.
Few are willing to be transformed.

The goal was never to look holy.
The goal is to become more like Christ.
