Welcome to Nani Ma's 🩷

Every meal I serve, I serve the way I love it myself. Hotness is your choice - the flavour is already there. We believe in healthy, clean eating and wholesomeness. No heavy oils, no hectic spice (unless you want it - we also make fresh chilli on the side), just simple ingredients made from scratch.

My dream? To create a space where people break rotis together. All walks of life, mixing and mingling, enjoying the pure joy of sharing food. Because food isn't just about feeding yourself - it's connection, it's love, it's what brings us all together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a beautiful winter afternoon at Gin, Jazz & John Vusi Mfupi. ☀️🍸🎷

It was wonderful to see our gallery and creative hub come alive with the soulful sounds of Sakhumzi's live jazz with refreshing gin from Gordons & Bos and Tanquarey through Thirst Bar, thought-provoking art, and so many new faces. Thank you to everyone who spent the day with us exploring John Vusi Mfupi's exhibition, connecting with our community, and making the most of a sunny Saturday at the gallery.

A special thank you to our incredible collaborators who made the day possible: Sakhumzi for the unforgettable jazz performance, Mc Alpine Clothing and No Plan-et B for their fantastic fashion pop-ups, Megan Shapiro for her creative artist workshop, and Nani Ma Indian Food Truck for keeping everyone well fed with delicious food.

These gatherings remind us how special it is to bring art, music, food, fashion and conversation together in one space. Thank you for being part of it. We can't wait to welcome you back to the 223 Jan Smuts Creative Hub for our next event.
