Made it out to Blair woods and spent the morning witnessing this beast smash this bloc third go of the day. Having been with Ryan when he worked it back in the summer I knew today was the day. Psyched out of my mind for this dude!!!
I’m honestly very proud of this kid. I remember coaching him, And being stronger than him for some time. And now he’s smashing through the north east’s best and hardest climbs.
Congrats my guy!! Can’t wait to see what’s next!!!!!!

Fun day out with a huge crew! Had 11 pads on Speed and lots of sick burns!! Really psyched on these shots even tho my camera was glitching and lost some quality of the image.

Bass Harbor Light House in Acadia National Park, Tremont ME, USA
Beautiful memoirs from this place when I a kid, we have a film photo of my brother and i posing in front of the lighthouse. Happy to come back in my late 20s to photograph a legendary spot.

Alas… this is my last 4 days in Acadia. It’s been an amazing trip, full of amazing views incredible climbs, hikes, rides and truly beautiful moments. I made so many amazing new friends, and am stoked to see folks next season!

The best part of this trip was not really the whole stay. The best part for me is the fact I had an episode near the end of my trip, and I addressed it PERFECTLY. I made the choice to head down to MA, take the time to figure out what I needed to do, changed the meds and pushed thought the depressive episode. I would not wish those episodes on ANYONE. They are hands down the worst low ive ever felt. The crushing feeling of pain and suffering is unfathomable. And because of that, I’m ever more proud to say I made it through. All and all… fuckin amazing trip.

Had to post these photos of @lili_ornes and @mackenzie_bush_ from our weekend together up in Acadia. The first photo is probably one of my all time favorite silly photos I’ve ever taken.

I am so happy to be back up here, and to make it even better I got a visit from two of my favorite humans! Mackenzie and Lili are some pretty cool folks to spend time in nature with. Happy to show them my happy place and take them on my fav hike. Sadly said goodbye this afternoon after visit down town Bar Harbor. Had a blast lighting fires and laughing at each other the whole visit. Love these lady’s and can’t wait to see them back in MA.

Just throwing a post out as an update.
I can confirm that I am deep in a depressive episode. I usually experience some kind of episode in the fall, whether it mania, or depressive or mixed. This one is extra hard though. I was having such a amazing time up in Acadia all summer, and was on track to send multiple projects, and just closing out the summer on top. But as always with living with a chronic mental illness, things can go south pretty fast. I’ve been at home in MA for a couple days and it’s been pretty damn hard. I have lots of support from my family, providers and close friends. I’m not worried about having any trouble making it thought this episode. I’ve been through many before and I’ve learned every time what I need to do. I’ll be off of insta for a while longer, but will probably post when I’m up north with my family.

Shots from the last couple weeks up in Acadia!
Having such a life changing time up here. Everyday is a adventure, every moment is true bliss. Can’t wait for more in the coming two months!

Currently typing this from my grandmothers porch, looking up at the beautiful Maine sky. Headed to Borstone tomorrow for a quick 3 mile loop, then it’s back to the island for more adventure! Happy to see family, take a hot shower and have a real bed haha. And again… can’t wait for more!

Psyched to have some pics of myself on this line! Thank @matty_jernigan for snapping these shots, and @weezy_kenz for the hype! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted a photo of myself trying hard. Very very hyped!

What a day! Started off with an attempt to try some lines in the great head cavern… did not go as planned haha.
We got to the cliff everybody went down before me, then I headed down, went about 3/4 down until I saw the wave crashing around everybody… we agreed we needed to bail, so I hooked up my ascending gear and started judging up as fast as I could… due to the immense physical strain, when I reached the lip, I disconnected from the rope and immediately ran and puked my guts out in the bushes hahaha!
It was quite the second degree fun moment. After we all reached the top, we headed out of great head and planned to come back at night to boulder. I will say the approach with 4 @organicclimbing crash pads was quite harder then just my ropes gear, but NOWHERE as bad as the jugging. So the rest of the night went well got to climb with the flood lights! Which is always really fun. Ended the night around 10pm and then headed to McDonalds for much needed fuel due to the lack of eating in the day.
All and all very very fun day! Can’t believe I’ll be here for another 2 months!

Amazing days with the crew at Otter Cliff yesterday!! Met up with @sarah_kathryn_climbs and friends and we had an amazing day out with amazing weather (lil chilly at times, which I love) and we saw a humpback whale breach TWICE right in front of the cliffs, then we saw some seals then a bald eagle sword above us to finish off the day. Great time with great friends!!

Tomorrow marks week one of my 10ish week trip down east, and I’ve already had so many amazing moments. Climbing, biking, running, hiking, swimming almost daily and making tons of new friends! Making amazing memories and just living life. I’m blessed to be able to experience these moments cuz they will be forever in my mind.

Big first day in Acadia! The best part about it was that it wasn’t crazy busy! Not rushed to do everyone right after another, just freedom to live life on the island! I’m so excited to be staying for months instead of weeks!
-
But to set the tone, within the first 30min of being awake I got to see this beautiful creature up and close. Took me about 15min to sneak up to him and snap a couple shots. Not perfect shooting but I’ll take it! Happy to spend today bouldering at Canada cliffs and then go highly head for a run at some point. Thankful for this opportunity and beyond blessed that I’m able to do this kind of trip.
