I went out near Lake Dillon to play with my drone yesterday just before sunset..
Mt Guyot and Baldy on the horizon.

Looking north toward Mount Silverthorne and East Thorn while traversing Deming Ridge yesterday in the Gore Range.

We arrived later than expected and luckily had service to check on the weather. The forecast called for light rain, but conditions appeared to be picking up around us. While scrambling along the Class 4 ridgeline, I saw this composition with the light hitting the peaks.

I really like photographing the alpine in weather, but in Colorado, that can be a dangerous situation. Especially on an exposed ridgeline like this, where the terrain requires slow, deliberate movement, with drops of hundreds of feet below.

Brock had a plan. Anna said yes. The mountains handled the rest. 💍

A month in the Gore Range.
A collection of mornings, ridgelines, wildflowers, sunsets, and high alpine terrain from one of the most rugged corners of Colorado.

Could not ask for a better first day of spring. 80 degrees, the Arkansas in BV, and a day of fly fishing with @justinvmaher .
