On World Wish Day, I wanted to take a moment—both as a volunteer and as a human—to share why being part of Make-A-Wish means so much to me.

It’s not every day that you meet a child who has faced serious illness and navigated challenges most adults would struggle to comprehend. And yet, what stays with me every single time is not the hardship—it’s their resilience.

When we sit down with these children, hear their stories, and watch their eyes light up as they talk about who they are and where they dream of going… it’s incredibly moving. There is pride, there is courage, and there is so much joy.

It’s a powerful reminder: children—whether healthy or facing illness—deserve more than just a pause. They deserve moments of pure happiness. Not just a good time, but a truly unforgettable one.

That’s what Make-A-Wish creates.

For me, supporting this mission goes beyond donations or passive contributions. What drives me is being present—witnessing the smiles, the laughter, and those unforgettable moments when a wish becomes reality.

On April 29, World Wish Day celebrates the very first wish granted in 1980 to a boy named Chris, who became a police officer for a day. Since then, this global movement has brought hope and joy to thousands of children thanks to
the dedication of volunteers like you.

Today, as we celebrate World Wish Day, I simply want to say thank you to Make-A-Wish for the extraordinary work they do, and for allowing me to be part of something so meaningful.
