after all computers crash, things happened & things didn’t happen, relationships fall apart. the best we can do is breathe, pray, get this degree, and move on.

Briefly I want to sincerely thank Clark Atlanta University for allowing me to finish what I started online back in 2020. The transition to college from high school wasn’t easy, but I persevered. Not only that but coming to Atlanta pretty much without close family was an experience as well. All the ups, downs, and battles I faced here allowed me to grow as a woman and learning how to not be so quiet when it comes to what I deserve. Or what’s right and what is wrong. Better advocating for myself and still turning to God when certain things aren’t under my control. Genuinely I want to thank the peers I have made friendships or connections with during my time here (especially my stem girlies). Also, I would like to thank the three organizations I have heavily been active in during my time spent here: The National Society of Black Women in Medicine inc. (CAU Chapter), Lifting Our Voices inc. (AUC Chapter) and Women of CAU. Of course, I have to thank everyone in my village who helped and sent their words of encouragement & support when I truly needed it. My great uncle transitioned on May 3rd, 2024 and though he may no longer be in the land of the living. I know he will still be checking on me and watching me in spirit as I close this chapter and open up a new one furthering my career in the medical field. I must say there must’ve been an angel by my side…
