The third artist to join the Consumer Electronics roster is Null Object, a lo-fi/vaporhouse producer and DJ living in Brooklyn, NY. His debut album “Cooperative Taxi Station”, about his own experiences working in a stressful office environment, was released on August 11, 2018, one year after his office was laid off. In 2019, the “Fire Reward” remix EP was released, featuring remixes from Gadder and Mac Bandit, as well as a new track called “Perfection”.

In August 2023, a new album “Overmorrow” was released on the label Music Website, exploring a new sonic palette of retro synths, video game soundtracks, and Y2K-era dance music. He has collaborated with various other artists to create remixes for each track, including Eyeliner, Fake Fever, Dan Mason, and Amamelia. Since then, he has also remixed tracks for other artists, such as Sarah Goldeather, who provided vocals for the track “Fleet Report”, as well as participated in a fundraising compilation album for the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund with the track “Avatars”.

As we welcome Null Object’s “Cooperative Taxi Station” and “Fire Reward” EP into the Consumer Electronics catalog, their presence on streaming platforms has been updated to reflect the new ownership. Since his first album’s seventh anniversary has recently passed, this is a great opportunity to give it another listen!
