Postcards from the Underworld pt6

Final (and favourite) shot of a series I made the other week, decided to try learn more photoshopping techniques while keeping it semi realistic. I wrote a cheeky description for the series for those interested:

I often find myself contemplating what the underworld might look like. Though I’m not religious, I approach it as a philosophical exercise. I never believed in a fiery abyss, where winged beasts flit in the shadows, nor did I heed the circles of Dante’s nine rings. I believe the true Underworld is cold and vast, an eternal expanse of solitude stripped of wardens and fiends. Here, only you and your thoughts dwell, roaming the endless chambers of existence. 🧌

Title: “BULLISH”

I tinted this image in the color of the matador’s flag because bullfighting offers a metaphor worth considering.

In the ring, the matador waves the flag to provoke and to taunt. To the matador, it’s a game of profit and applause.

The bull charges. Not for sport, but for its survival.

Now ask yourself:

Is the bull the violent one?

Or is it the matador— who’s sword ends slick with the blood of the manipulated— that is the violent one?

I believe the answer is obvious.

A metaphor worth considering.
