To many this is just an associates degree but to me this is only the beginning of my journey. Not many know but I come from a family that were once immigrants and later became U.S Residents. Earning this degree is not just for myself but for my family as well. I wouldn’t be where I am without all the love and support from them. I am proud of being the daughter of immigrants. I get to continue what they never had the chance to finish. Leaving family, friends and their personal lives behind to seek a better future full of opportunities and education for our family. My parents who are my true inspiration that have shown me that it’s worth getting up everyday no matter the circumstances or how hard it can get. I wouldn’t be where I am or the person I am becoming without them. C-sate has taught me so many valuable skills in these two short years and I would do it all over again. I love all the sweet things it has brought me in life from professors to friends and most importantly all the challenges that helped prove myself. I’m excited to further my education at MTSU and I can’t wait to see what I can achieve next. taken in Columbia State Community College by @_odalysrojas
