excited to present @_omarcheikh and @arkangelodelikato collaborative work for countless reasons
because it is the first release by Lente Fantasma - and somehow the 37th by Yerevan Tapes after quite a few years of hiatus
because of the flesh and magic that Omar and Arkangelo have put into shaping it
because of the flow of sediments that runs freely through it.

this seventeen-minute EP is an emotional thesaurus for a new language of wonder.

Another surprise for our cassette headz. 𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐡 ‘𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓖𝓪𝓻𝓭𝓮𝓷’ (MDR105)
Entering @_omarcheikh’sworld feels like crossing a holy portal, the micro‑rhythms of a slow‑growth forest and the lush density of countless light prisms quietly echoing distant songs. ‘𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓖𝓪𝓻𝓭𝓮𝓷’ weaves a near-ritualistic, emotionally saturated atmosphere, shaped by organic folk elements, somber instrumentation, and lingering industrial textures. Every detail is finely etched yet the song architectures maintain a liquid form, projecting geometrical figures that shapeshift constantly, undulated arpeggios that catch sudden heat manifesting incantations and foregone rituals. He has collaborated with various independent labels and projects such as Maple Death, Lente Fantasma, Box of Tangerine, Futuro Arcaico, NoGlucose, Tocca il futuro, Erratic Boulders, Wetware Echo, and others, taking part in both V/A and creating mixes for radio stations such as LyLRadio (FR), Tirkultura (LV), Radio Raheem (IT), and radio.syg.ma (GER).
He is part of the independent space Titivil, based in Bologna.

𝐎𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐡’s ‘𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓖𝓪𝓻𝓭𝓮𝓷’ has been slowly capturing minds and hearts, an incredibly layered an dense night record, haunting arpeggios that travel miles and miles.
Here is a video excerpt from Omar’s secret gig last summer in V.A. garden with a couple of janky toy walkie talkie, ‘80 Siel organ, 200m of electric wire and a cassette player’.

Local Service joins forces with the experimental music ecosystem @box_of_tangerine for the first open-air daytime happening of the season, set in the unique space of Cascinet, a hidden green oasis in East Milan.

At sunset, multidisciplinary artist @_omarcheikh , fresh from a new release on Maple Death Records, sets the vibe with a live performance rooted in low frequencies, noise, and abstract sonic environments.

He is followed by Fera (@suonidisorganizzati )from the Undicesimacasa collective. Moving between Bologna and Rome, he energizes parties and concerts, weaving together sound practice with visual and graphic work. In his live sets, Fera brings along simple machines to shape disorganized sounds.

Closing the event is @heavenphetamine , a Japanese duo who blend 1970s psychedelic rock with elements of post-punk and acid house, with subtle influences of traditional Japanese music woven throughout.
Minimalist yet finely crafted drumming meets playful, dynamic keyboard melodies that grow increasingly driving and ecstatic over the course of the songs. It’s a beautiful feeling that makes you want to dance.

A vinyl, cd, tape, zine, clothes market area will be waiting for you in the garden throughout the day.

One after the other, they will present the most recent of their works, to the audience, to their friends and to themselves. Then they will play music all together as one body. Like a swarm of bees, buzzing and making honey.

Food for Thought - Half Half, a dinner by Omar Cheikh.

On December 10th, Mouhit invites cook and artist Omar Cheikh (@_omarcheikh) , who works with sound and drawing, for a special edition of Food for Thought, our monthly fundraiser dinner supporting our art space.
For Half Half, Omar focuses on the figures of the Bâtard, the Mule and the Half blooded, representing mixed and in-between identities. He cooks from this space of overlap, where things do not fully belong to one side or the other. The menu comes from personal food memories, mixed influences from Tunisia and Italy and the small contradictions that shape the way he cooks.

The dinner will include a listening session with sound prepared by Omar. Join us for an evening of food and sound built around the idea of being in between and embracing it.

All funds collected will go toward supporting Mouhit Space and its ongoing artistic activities.
