No one posts about their lack of success, but I will. Because I’m not the only one! 💔 #ivf #infertility #childless #life by @_onepinklife

There is SO much support when it comes to miscarriage and people still route for another when they continue after failed transfer. But there is very little support when it comes to those of us left behind. People don’t want to hear my story because it’s an ending they don’t want to find themselves with. But what if you do find yourself here?? That’s why I’ve continued my page, there are so many of us grieving a future we thought we had, who did the injections and didn’t get any embryos, who attended scans to be told we weren’t responding, who don’t want to pursue other routes (which people keep trying to make me feel guilty for) I’m not acting like it didn’t happen just because I don’t fit into the miracle category. We matter too! #infertility #endometriosis #lifeafterinfertility #lifewhenivffails by @_onepinklife

We hear about the miracles, we hear about the different routes, but there are many of us who have very little choice but to stop treatment and basically ‘get on with life.’ No one should have to go through this and I’ll continue to tell my story for those of us in this position but also for every single one of us who’s attempts at conceiving haven’t been easy or straight forward. We tried, we really did… 💔 Children really are miracles, hug yours a little tighter for those of us who’d love to be in your position! 🫶🏼 #fertilityunfiltered #ivf #childlessnotbychoice #fertilityaction by @_onepinklife

This week is National Fertility awareness week and I will proudly be supporting @fertility.action

So many are suffering in silence and it’s important to have these conversations.

Despite being at the end of our journey without a baby! Stories like ours matter.

We were initially misdiagnosed with unexplained infertility, despite raising concerns of endometriosis.

I had to fight for a second opinion which let me to my diagnosis of endometriosis and adenomyosis. Within a 16 months I had to have another surgery this time to remove my fallopian tubes due to a hydrosalphinx which can by caused by endometriosis.

When we eventually got our chance at IVF my ovarian reserve had significantly decreased due to a rupture and the impact of surgery.

We physically and mentally put ourselves through three rounds, two on the NHS and one private. All which resulted in no viable embryos to transfer and we made the difficult decision to stop treatment.

People often presume IVF is a cure and it’s not it’s only a chance to become a parent, not a guarantee.

It’s emotionally exhausting, requires strength, patience and bravery. It impacts every aspect of your life. For us, it’s changed our future.

We are grieving a life we thought we’d have. If you find yourself here too, you’re not alone. #fertilityaction #nationalfertilityawarenessweek #fertilityunfiltered by @_onepinklife

My beautiful friend got me these flowers to thank me for being there for her during her extremely difficult first round of IVF. IVF is so complicated and I’ve only experienced a small part of it, I’ll never act like I know it all, because I don’t, but I understand the importance of having someone to talk to. Someone to vent to, someone to say ‘this is so unfair’ too. All I needed to do was listen ❤️ it didn’t work out for us, but I want it to work out for you. I’m routing for so many of you and I’ll always be here to celebrate your happiness 🩷✨ by @_onepinklife

Halloween date night for us 👻 hope everyone has a brilliant Halloween 🎃 by @_onepinklife

I came off the pill for this very reason. Horrible thoughts, telling myself I was a burden on my loved ones, that I was pathetic because I couldn’t give my husband a baby, questioning my worth. It was the lowest I have ever been and that’s why I knew it wasn’t me, it wasn’t right, I’d been through so much and never felt this bad. I was having heart palpitations, I was crying uncontrollably, I was biting at everything. I binned them and refused to continue, it wasn’t worth it for my mental state. Within a few weeks my thoughts started to become more rational and I was smiling, responding more like me. It’s so important to monitor your mood… keep an eye on your loved ones taking new medication and don’t be scared to say you’ve noticed. They may need your support. #thepill #hormones #hormonehealth by @_onepinklife

Where does time actually go. We spent almost 6 years chasing a dream that wasn’t meant to be for us. I refuse to let that eat any more of our time, infertility you robbed enough. Endometriosis you suck ! But you’ll not defeat me 💪🏼 #infertility #ivf #infertilityawareness #ivfawareness #childlessnotbychoice by @_onepinklife
