Here it is… Once again, another BMW E46 on my page. I will never stop saying that BMWs are extremely photogenic, especially the E46. On any car event I attend, going through photos later I always found BMW photos on completely another level. Those cars are just easy to take photos of, and later edit. Nearly every angle of BMW turns out to be an incredible piece of art on a camera. Maybe it's just a me thing, but I enjoy taking photos of E46s. Sometimes you see a car, even a very cool one and you wonder at what angle you should shoot it. You get ready, click the button, but it turns out to be a pretty boring photo. But with BMWs it's another story. You can randomly take a photo of it, and it turns out to be a masterpiece like the one you see on a screen. So my suggestion to younger or beginner photographers, always start with something simple, like BMWs. Because the genius of this brand is simplicity in perfection.

Now on your screen you see a 2002 Coupe BMW 325 CI of E46 body designation in this beautiful gold-ish orange color. Of course just a regular E46, not an M model, but still deserves a lot of love from you all.

I already talked quite a lot about this model in my previous posts, so I will not dig too deeply into the E46 designation, but I will briefly share the history.

Here it is - "old money" looking Porsche 356 Speedster. But the key question is whether it’s an authentic original or just a replica?

But let’s first delve into the history of the Porsche 356, before we decide on that question.

The Porsche 356 was Porsche's very first production car. It was a light and maneuverable rear-engine, rear-wheel drive car that was both available in hardtop coupe and convertible body styles.

The history of the 356 began right before World War II, when Porsche created three Type 64 cars for the 1939 Berlin-to-Rome race, which sadly never took place due to the war. During the war, priorities shifted and much of the production was halted. It all got back to somewhat normal in 1948, when Porsche completed a mid-engine prototype with a tubular chassis known as the “No. 1”, which is believed by enthusiasts as the first proper Porsche car.

The 356 was designed by Ferdinand “Ferry” Porsche, the son of Ferdinand Porsche, who founded Porsche with his sister Louise. The 356's chassis was entirely new and its body was designed by Erwin Komenda of Porsche. Although some mechanical elements, such as the engine casing and suspension components, were originally borrowed from Volkswagen, the 356 was very different.

In an interview with Panorama magazine in 1972, Ferry Porsche shared about what was the concept behind 356. “...I had always driven very speedy cars. I had an Alfa Romeo, also a BMW, and others. ….By the end of the war, I had a Volkswagen Cabriolet with a supercharged engine, and that was the basic idea. I saw that if you had enough power in a small car, it is nicer to drive than if you have a big car which is also overpowered. And it is more fun. On this basic idea, we started the first Porsche prototype. To make the car lighter, to have an engine with more horsepower” This idea was the basis for the first Porsche prototype - lighter and more powerful.

Here it is… a fridge on wheels… a dumpster… poorly peeled potato… a toblerone… a blade runner truck - whatever you call this now iconic vehicle, it's the one and only Tesla Cybertruck.

Which I’ve finally got to see with my own eyes and camera lens… in Ireland.

I am not a fan of EV’s, but I am a big fan of unique and quirky vehicles and this car definitely caught my eye when it was announced. I couldn't believe that this car would actually make it to production, but here it is... unfortunately, only in the US.... for now.

But I will not tell you the story or anything here today, I will just ask you to admire the photos of this car for now because the video from me about the cybertruck is in production right now and will release soon enough in a format of a reel.

So stay tuned for more content 😉

Here it is… One of the most affordable luxury sports cars on the market right now that will make you feel like a real-life James Bond: the Aston Martin DB9 from the 2008 era. In my opinion, one of the most underpriced cars in its segment, making it a great investment if properly taken care of.

Surprisingly, during my research, I discovered that James Bond never actually drove an Aston Martin DB9 in any of the films. He drove the DBS in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, which closely resembles the DB9 from the outside. Regardless, the DB9 will surely make you James Bond in the eyes of all the drivers and pedestrians around.

Let's go back to the 2000s when Aston Martin was under the ownership of Ford Motor Company. During this period, the DB7, an "entry-level" sports car, was nearing the end of its production, and Ford executives needed a new model to introduce advanced technologies. In July 2000, Ford appointed Ulrich Bez as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aston Martin. The DB7 was to be replaced by a car codenamed “AM802”, which eventually became the DB9. Simultaneously, another project was underway, codenamed the "AM305". This was to be a smaller, two-seater car aimed at competing with the Porsche 911 and Ferrari 360, which later became the Vantage in 2005.

Ian Callum was originally appointed as a lead designer for the AM802 project. However, following the sudden death of designer Geoff Lawson, Callum had to combine his responsibilities for the Jaguar and Aston Martin projects. In 2001, Henrik Fisker joined the AM802 project as a lead designer, allowing Callum to focus more on the Jaguar project. Nonetheless, Ian Callum was primarily responsible for nearly the entire design of the car, including the interior.

Here it is… air-suspensioned Brunswick Blue Type 14 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia.

The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Type 14 is a classic sports car produced by the German automaker Volkswagen from 1955 to 1974. It is known for its stylish design and was created in a collaboration between Volkswagen, German coachbuilder Karmann and Italian design firm Carrozzeria Ghia.

After the end of World War II, and for many, the Great Depression, the world began a slow recovery. Over the next decade, people's incomes rose steadily, and as a result, there was a global demand for the concept of “getting more for your money.” In particular, there was a severe shortage of unusual cars in the automotive industry.

Volkswagen produced its Volkswagen Beetle in the early 1950s, and as living standards rose in the postwar years, its executives were ready to expand the lineup beyond the utilitarian Beetle. They approached Wilhelm Karmann, a German coachbuilder, to develop a stylish and sporty car based on the Beetle's mechanical components. Karmann enlisted the services of the Italian design firm Carrozzeria Ghia, led by Luigi Segre. The Karmann Ghia design was created by Sergio Sartorelli, an Italian designer who had worked at Ghia, and was heavily influenced by the work of Virgil Exner. However, besides Sergio: Mario Boano, Sergio Coggiola and Giovanni Savonuzzi also worked on the car's design, and at various times they each took credit for the design. In addition, the design bore a striking resemblance to Virgil Exner's Chrysler D'Elegance and K-310 concepts, which Ghia was assigned to prototype.

The Karmann Ghia featured a sleek and elegant body with a low roof line and prominent rear fenders. It was designed to resemble the high-end sports cars of the time. It was often referred to as the “poor man's Porsche”. Despite its sporty appearance, the Karmann Ghia was not a high-performance car. It offered modest performance with its air-cooled flat-four engine, which underwent several upgrades throughout Karmann Ghia production.

Here it is… Immaculate and legendary Ferrari Enzo, painted in Emerald Green, making it the only one of its kind in the world.

Before talking about this particular car, let's first dive into the history of the Ferrari Enzo and see what makes this car so special.

The Ferrari Enzo, or Type F140, is a mid-engined sports car by Italian automaker Ferrari. It is named after the company's founder, Enzo Ferrari. Naming a car after its founder is a significant risk for any automaker, and for Ferrari the stakes were even higher. The car needed to be revolutionary in its performance and design, while establishing a new benchmark for all other Ferrari cars.

Its history started with Ferrari's line of limited-run halo cars, which began with the 288 GTO, initially developed for Group B racing. After the Group B class was canceled, Ferrari decided to produce the road-going version of 288 GTO due to high preorder demand. A few years later, the next entry in the halo line would emerge: the F40, celebrating the brand's 40th anniversary and famously becoming the last car Enzo Ferrari would personally oversee before his death. Then came the F50, which, despite selling out its 349-unit run, was deemed a failure due to its difficult driving. It also debuted around the same time as the McLaren F1, which is still considered by many to be the best road car ever made.  Not only did Ferrari have to create a car worthy of bearing its founder's name, but it also had to prove it was at the forefront of road car development alongside McLaren and Porsche.

Here it is… 2017 BMW F82 M4

The BMW 4 Series emerged when BMW decided to create a separate series for its 2-door models (coupés and convertibles) originally being a part of the 3 Series lineup. The BMW 4 Series concept was first unveiled in January 2013 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. This series has been consistent in offering coupé, convertible, and 5-door liftback (known as "Gran Coupé") body styles, closely resembling the design of the electric BMW i4.

The BMW M4, high-performance variant of the 4 Series is the BMW M4 was also introduced in 2014, follows BMW's decision to designate mid-size coupes and convertibles with “4” badges, hence the “M4” name. The first generation of the M4 is called the F82/F83 and uses the same turbocharged inline-six petrol engine as the F80/F81 M3. The M4 is based on the BMW F32 4 Series, however 50 percent of its components are unique as compared to the 4 Series. Upgrades over the standard BMW 4 Series include: upgraded engine, suspension, exhaust system, brakes, and weight reduction measures, prominently featuring increased use of carbon fiber. The BMW F82 M4 succeeds the BMW E92 M3 and is powered by the S55B30 engine, which was developed by BMW M GmbH. This 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine, specially created for the M4/M3 generations, produces 425 hp. Transmission options consist of the 6-speed manual and the 7-speed M-DCT transmissions. The 7-speed M-DCT transmission accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and the 6-speed manual transmission from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.3 seconds. Like its M3 E92 predecessor, the M4 F82 coupe model's roof is made from carbon fiber, except when an optional sunroof is installed. Carbon fibre is also used for the bootlid and engine brace.

In 2020, the first generation of the BMW M4 transitioned to a second generation, codenamed G82, largely based on the G22 generation of the standard 4 Series.

Here it is… a legendary JDM Roadster, 2003 AP1 Honda S2000.

First unveiled at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show as a concept car called the SSM (Sport Study Model), the production version of the Honda S2000 was officially unveiled on April 15, 1999 to celebrate the company's 50th anniversary. Created as an evolution of the Honda SSM design, the S2000 drew inspiration from such predecessors as Honda's first prototype Formula One, the 1963 Honda RA270, and the Caterham Seven. With a name reflecting the engine displacement of two liters, the S2000's "S" designation pays tribute to Honda’s heritage, continuing the tradition established by the S500, S600 and S800 roadsters of the 1960s. A hallmark of Honda's commitment to engineering integrity, the entire development process was led by Honda designers and engineers, sticking curiously to the classic Honda values, instead of marketing requirements as former Chief Engineer Shigeru Uehara revealed in an interview: "You will be surprised to know that we had very little input from the marketing people. This was a deliberate move, as we wanted to create something to please us as an engineering team, rather than try and please everyone. If you listen to everyone, included everything they ask for, all cars end up the same. We wanted a vehicle that was more focused - more Honda." The S2000 underwent several iterations throughout the production cycle, resulting in two different variants: the initial AP1 model and the facelifted AP2 version. The front-mid-mounted, rear-wheel drive AP1 model was powered by a 1,997cc DOHC VTEC inline four-cylinder engine, known as the F20C, with outputs ranging from 237 to 247 horsepower depending on the target market. The F20C was created specifically for the S2000 and in 2 versions. One for the Japanese Domestic Market, which had an 11.7:1 compression ratio that produced a peak output of 247bhp. And the Rest of World version which had an 11.0:1 compression ratio that produced a peak output of 237bhp. Honda quoted a top speed of 154mph and 0-62mph time of 6.2 seconds for both versions.

Here it is… One of the rarest modern 911s and its 2023 Porsche 911 Sport Classic. It all started in the ’60s, which marked a pivotal era of transformation, with individuals challenging norms back in the days. It was this spirit that informed the vision of Ferry Porsche, who changed the history of sports cars forever with the iconic 911. Its premise was obvious: six cylinders, a rear engine and room for a golf bag. Initially, the 911 was considered too bold, but it went through and became an icon of automobile design that is reflected today in the 911 Sport Classic. Inspired by the original 911 (1964 – 1973) and the 1972 911 Carrera RS 2.7, only 1,250 limited-edition models by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur revive the style of the '60s and '70s. The appearance is based on the 911 Turbo, with a fixed rear spoiler reminiscent of the legendary Carrera RS 2.7 'ducktail' and the double-bubble roof underscore the distinctiveness of the new 911 Sport Classic. The iconic 'ducktail' spoiler, a name originating from a less-than-enthused Porsche employee's comment on the RS 2.7's rear, has become synonymous with Porsche, prompting instant recognition among enthusiasts. The 911 Carrera RS 2.7, with its racing DNA and significant impact, ignited Porsche passion, and the 'ducktail' spoiler played a crucial role, a timelessness resonating in the new 911 Sport Classic.

Here it is… a perfect project car to recreate "The Mystery Machine" from Scooby Doo – and it's this sad-looking second-generation Chevrolet Van 108. For me, it echoes the iconic VW Microbus philosophy. This box on wheels boasts a front-engined and rear-wheel-drive layout that exudes distinctive Detroit style. Surprisingly, even for someone who has never been interested in vans, it was this model that caught my eye. Its appeal lies in its design clarity and unmistakable 60s aesthetic. If you look back over the generations of Chevrolet vans from the early 1960s through, you'll find a rather confusing variety of models, market segments, and brand names that has been spawning this model since the start. But we won't delve too much into its history, we'll just briefly talk about it and focus more on the second-generation vans. The Chevrolet Van, also known as the Chevy Van, Chevrolet/GMC G-series vans, and GMC Vandura, was in production from the 1964 to 1996 model years. Serving as the successor to the rear-engine Corvair Corvan/Greenbrier, it also replaced the panel van configuration of the Chevrolet Suburban. This versatile vehicle throughout its years was available in passenger and cargo van configurations, as well as a van chassis with a compartment for a variety of custom applications like ambulance services for example. Spanning three generations (1964–66, 1967–70, and 1970–96), the Chevrolet Van came under different model names for both Chevrolet and GMC brands. The first two generations featured a front-mounted engine located between the seats, while the third generation received a driver-front engine configuration and shared powertrains with the C/K pickup model lineup.

Here it is… a "Striped Tomato" 1974 3rd Generation Ford Gran Torino, a legendary car that gained fame as the iconic ride of the TV cop duo in the popular show "Starsky & Hutch." Airing from 1975 to 1979, the series followed the adventures of Detectives Dave Starsky and Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson as they fought crime in the fictional southern California town of Bay City. The Torino, painted in bright red with distinctive white vector stripes, became an iconic character in its own way, earning the nickname "striped tomato" from Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky) during the first viewing of the car. That nickname got stuck and was incorporated into the show as Hutch's humorous way of referring to Starsky's Torino. Interestingly, the Torino wasn't the initial choice for the crime-fighting show. The show's creator, William Blinn, initially wanted a green and white Chevrolet Camaro, because he'd previously owned one and wanted to honor it on the show. Plans didn't work out and he turned to Ford's Studio-TV car Loan Program. Two 1975 351 Windsor V8-powered "Bright Red" 2-door Gran Torinos were ordered by Spelling-Goldberg Productions and given its now-famous paint job to make it pop. Air shocks were installed on the back so the nose was lower, a chrome tip was placed on the exhaust pipe, and "U.S." five-slot aluminum alloy wheels with much bigger tires on the rear were installed. While sources vary on the total number created for the show, only three are believed to still exist, with one located at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. The Torinos used in the show were equipped with different engines, ranging from 5.8 L Windsor V8 to 6.6 L 335 series V8 and even a rumored 7.4L V8.
