Beyond honored to party wave it with @tnc011 last year 🙌🏽 and we got gifted this epic day! Toru was the first person I got introduced to my first trip out to Japan. I stuck to him like glue. One of the most legendary skier/monoskier I know. He has shown me some of the most amazing places, owns the most epic bars (@bar_zanshin @konton.ak), has some of the most delicious hot pot at his Airbnb, and takes care of me and my friends every year 🙏🏽 thank you Toru, Manabu, Iwai, & Naoya! This year out in Japan was a very special year, we got to meet up with some of the coolest brothers, @saku.matsuda and @mutsuki.matsuda, and their awesome parents @ayumu.ma2 . We scheduled to meet up with them and ride at a resort that we have never skied before. Naturally we sniffed out some sick pow lines before meeting up with them, after lunch we took some park laps and then some off piste to catch some freshies with mom. We had the best time riding together, I was getting so inspired with their snowboarding. They are so young and have such incredible skills riding snowboards that are twice as big as them. Watching them ride and feed off each others energy really reminded me of growing up skiing with Leo back in the park rat days. The brother connection and passion something so special and so incredible to watch. To be able to inspire and rip these boyz has got to be one of the best feelings/connections on earth. Thank you so much for meeting up with us! We are so excited to meet up again next year and make more memories. Just a bunch of like minded lib tech heads. Finally going through all of my photos and videos from my trip to Japan, every time I go back I learn something new. I love the Japanese culture and their ways of living so much. Everything is clean, quiet, no one is in a rush, no stress, everything works in harmony, everybody works together and everything flows so smoothly ❤️⛩️❤️ Leo and I got together with the @sideshow.ski crew @ta98.ishida and @kuratad for a night and also with the wizzard of OOOOSSSS (@fuck013) to kick off the first 2 days of our trip. What a run, 3 months on the road. I’ve had some of the best times of my life, I think I said “I had the best day of my life” like 10 times in Japan this year, snowboarded more than I skied, having so much fun on the board 🙏🏽 this year was a year I’ve always dreamed of. I think after 34 years of being on this earth, and the past 9 dedicating my winters to chasing the snow and my dreams, I think it’s fair to say I might have this whole ski bum thing down. My 2 months in Japan was something out of a movie for me and was so surreal half the time, then to come back, hang out in Tahoe for a week and then run up to the PNW to catch some frozen waves was unreal. Then to have @fuck013 come hang out in the bus and ski bum it for 3 weeks was something so special to me. To be hanging out in Japan all of February and then bring it to this side of the world for miracle march was one of the best experiences of my life. I’m so thankful for this life. It’s not normal or easy. Being on the road for 3 months was fun, but I am very exhausted and ready to get this fractured radius all healed back up so I can go back to work and save up for next year, so I can do it all over again. Huge shoutout to my boss for letting me take 3 months off work and a couple extra weeks for my radius to heal up. I’m broke as hell financially, but I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. These experiences don’t come often and are some of the best experiences of my life. Thank you mountains, thank you friends, thank you life. We live in a special time where we can connect all over the world and it is amazing. Thank you to everyone who supports me and my lifestyle, thank you to all the friends that met up with me, thank you bus for being so reliable, it ain’t boring when you’re scoring 🤟🏽#absd #oooossss #skibum by @_ottopilot
